What is making us sick?

5.20.14
Day 140

Favorite Verse: Mark 7.
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, 22 deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, [i]envy, slander, [j]pride and foolishness. 23 All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man.”

Thought for the day:
Our politically correct culture is constantly telling us what is good or bad for our stomachs.  I need guidance and I need to do a much better job with my nutrition.  My problem is that people in the media culture who seem to know exactly what everyone should put into their stomachs don't care too much what media puts in the peoples' minds.  Jesus said that the problem is not what we put into our mouths, but what we put into our hearts and minds.  Even nutritionists have said that it's not what we eat, but what eats us.  Look at the list above and notice what Jesus said is not good for our minds and hearts.  Do I have these in my mind and life?  Too often.  When I re-read the underlined list, I am sorry to say, I mess up often.  I need the forgiveness, grace and mercy of God every day.  He is willing to forgive and cleanse and let us start over.  This is great news for children of God.
