6.11-If you are one of Jesus' sheep do not worry about someone kidnapping you from Him.

John 10. 10  “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber. 2  But he who enters by the door is a shepherd of the sheep. 3  To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4  When he puts forth all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5  A stranger they simply will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6  This figure of speech Jesus spoke to them, but they did not understand what those things were which He had been saying to them. 7  So Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8  All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. 9  I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will...

6.10-The first thing. Before worry, anxiety, go and pray and a good to do list develops.

Mark 1. 35  In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house , and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there. 36  Simon and his companions searched for Him; 37  they found Him, and *said to Him, “Everyone is looking for You.” 38  He *said to them, “Let us go somewhere else to the towns nearby, so that I may [ s ] preach there also; for that is what I came for.” 39  And He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, [ t ] preaching and casting out the demons. Psalm 79  O God, the nations have [ a ] invaded Your inheritance; They have defiled Your holy temple; They have laid Jerusalem in ruins. 2  They have given the dead bodies of Your servants for food to the birds of the heavens, The flesh of Your godly ones to the beasts of the earth. 3  They have poured out their blood like water round about Jerusalem; And there was no one to bury them. 4  We have become a reproach to our neighbors, A...

6.9-Eye for Eye is out. This leave the whole world blind. That is what gives us 3,000 year old religious wars. Love is in.

Matthew 5. 38  “You have heard that it was said, ‘ An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth .’ 39  But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40  If anyone wants to sue you and take your [ am ] shirt, let him have your [ an ] coat also. 41  Whoever [ ao ] forces you to go one mile, go with him two. 42  Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you. 43  “You have heard that it was said, ‘ You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44  But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45  so that you may [ ap ] be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46  For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47  If yo...

6.8-It is right to pray for your town, your state and you nation.

Matthew 23. 37  “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling. 38  Behold, your house is being left to you desolate! 39  For I say to you, from now on you will not see Me until you say, ‘ Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord !’” Psalm 60 60  O God, You have rejected us. You have [ d ] broken us; You have been angry; O, restore us. 2  You have made the [ e ] land quake, You have split it open; Heal its breaches, for it totters. 3  You have [ f ] made Your people experience hardship; You have given us [ g ] wine to drink that makes us stagger. 4  You have given a banner to those who fear You, That it may be displayed because of the truth. [ h ] Selah. 5  That Your beloved may be delivered, Save with Your right hand, and answer [ i ] us! 6  God has spoken in His...

Prayer and Reflection Approaching the Election

Friends, I want to thank you for being an encourager of my walk with Jesus. One of my hobbies is creating outlines that fit with the times. Here is one I made for myself and shared with a couple of friends and they encouraged me to share this with others. Here is the outline and please pray that I can share this with people who could use it during this election year. I strongly believe that the evil one is always tempting the disciples to get off track of our work which is not making Republicans or Democrats or Americans, but making disciples of Jesus. He is especially active in this temptation in elections years. We must be on the alert. So I am sharing this basic outline for study and prayer during the next twenty one weeks. If any person or family or church would pray and study and meditate on these chapters during this time we could have a spiritual renewal for our hearts regardless of the outcome of the election. I am hoping to get as...

6.7-If you are betrayed by a friend, cry out to Jesus for help for He understands and cares for you.

Mark 14. 43  Immediately while He was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, *came up [ s ] accompanied by a crowd with swords and clubs, who were from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. 44  Now he who was betraying Him had given them a signal, saying, “Whomever I kiss, He is the one; seize Him and lead Him away [ t ] under guard.” 45  After coming, Judas immediately went to Him, saying, “Rabbi!” and kissed Him. 46  They laid hands on Him and seized Him. 47  But one of those who stood by drew his sword, and struck the slave of the high priest and [ u ] cut off his ear. 48  And Jesus said to them, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest Me, as you would against a robber? 49  Every day I was with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize Me; but this has taken place to fulfill the Scriptures.” 50  And they all left Him and fled. 51  A young man was following Him, wearing nothing but a linen she...

6.6-If you are ever mocked for your faith remember Jesus understands.

Mark 15. 16  The soldiers took Him away into the [ d ] palace (that is, the Praetorium), and they *called together the whole Roman [ e ] cohort. 17  They *dressed Him up in purple, and after twisting a crown of thorns, they put it on Him; 18  and they began to acclaim Him, “Hail, King of the Jews!” 19  They kept beating His head with a [ f ] reed, and spitting on Him, and kneeling and bowing before Him. 20  After they had mocked Him, they took the purple robe off Him and put His own garments on Him. And they *led Him out to crucify Him. 21  They *pressed into service a passer-by coming from the country, Simon of Cyrene (the father of Alexander and Rufus), to bear His cross. Psalm 104. At Your rebuke they fled, At the sound of Your thunder they hurried away. 8  The mountains rose; the valleys sank down To the place which You established for them. 9  You set a boundary that they may not pass over, So that they will not return to cover th...

6.5.16-Live a life of love and be fearless.

42-156 6.5.16 Live a life that is fearless. This will lead to times of deep mourning. Live fearlessly anyway. This will lead to times of being insulted, spoken against, mocked and made fun of. Live fearlessly anyway. This will lead to being opposed at times. This may lead to losing money or things that others value. Stay with your trust in the words of Jesus and never be ashamed. This may lead to you being seen as a trouble maker. This may mean your are in the minority and seen as being bad for your family, church, or even nation. Live fearlessly anyway. Stay with your trust in the words of Jesus and never be ashamed. Larry Wishard

6.5-Sometimes we ask over and over and the answer is no because that is not the plan of our Father.

Mark 14. 32  They *came to a place named Gethsemane; and He *said to His disciples, “Sit here until I have prayed.” 33  And He *took with Him Peter and [ n ] James and John, and began to be very distressed and troubled. 34  And He *said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved to the point of death; remain here and keep watch.” 35  And He went a little beyond them , and fell to the ground and began to pray that if it were possible, the hour might [ o ] pass Him by. 36  And He was saying, “Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.” 37  And He *came and *found them sleeping, and *said to Peter, “Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour? 38  Keep watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” 39  Again He went away and prayed, saying the same [ p ] words. 40  And again He came and found them s...
