11.23-Walking on a treadmill gets us nowhere?

11.23- Just because your doing a lot more does not mean you are getting a lot more done. Do not confuse movement with progress. Matthew 23. 15  “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you travel around on sea and land to make one [ f ] proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of [ g ] hell as yourselves. 1 Timothy 1. 3  As I urged you [ a ] upon my departure for Macedonia, [ b ] remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines, 4  nor to [ c ] pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than furthering [ d ] the administration of God which is by faith. 5  But the goal of our [ e ] instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. 6  For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion, 7  wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not unde...

11.22-What is worse than blindness?

11.22- Helen Keller was once asked if she could think if something worse than being blind and she answered, "Having no vision." John 9. 35  Jesus heard that they had put him out, and finding him, He said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” 36  He answered, “Who is He, [ e ] Lord, that I may believe in Him?” 37  Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him, and He is the one who is talking with you.” 38  And he said, “Lord, I believe.” And he worshiped Him. 39  And Jesus said, “For judgment I came into this world, so that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may become blind.” 40  Those of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things and said to Him, “We are not blind too, are we?” 41  Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but [ f ] since you say, ‘We see,’ your sin remains.

11.21- Ask for what you want

11.21- About two months ago I went to my primary care doctor who saw a growth on my skin on the top of my head and sent me to a dermatologist. She took a biopsy and called two days later and said that it was basal cell cancer and I needed to have (MOH) surgery. As in all my life in prayer I asked for what I wanted as the outcome; to get all the cancer out of my body. I asked all my family and friends to pray for my doctors, nurses and staff during this surgery. I had that surger y this morning. It started about 9.30am and by 12.30Pm I was on the way home. The doctor said the test showed that she got all the cancer out and the edges were “clear”. Those of us who believe in and follow Jesus feel free to tell our father what we want and need, but the final phrase is always “your will be done on earth as in heaven.” Thankfully, the pain on my scalp was minimal. I am home tonight appreciating life more than ever this evening. I am thankful for good medical insurance...

11.20-How to be a leader

11.20-How to be a leader The real way of leadership is to be aware it includes much suffering and it is a role shaped for those who are to lead by God Himself. The humble way of leadership is not like the world’s way. They think it is to run over people. The healthy way for leadership is to serve and to give away one’s life as a ransom those we lead. Mark 10. 42  Calling them to Himself, Jesus *said to them, “You know that those who are recognized as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them; and their great men exercise authority over them. 43  But it is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant; 44  and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be slave of all. 45  For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His [ p ] life a ransom for many.”

11.19-Do you hold anything against anyone?

11,19- The success you have receiving grace is related to the success you have giving grace. Would you like God to hold nothing against you. Then hold nothing against others. Mark 11. 24  Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you. 25  Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions. 26  [ [ f ] But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions.” ]

11.18- What is the way to become a great leader?

11.18- What is the way to become a great leader? The real way of leadership is to be aware it includes much suffering and it is a role shaped for those who are to lead by God Himself. The humble way of leadership is not like the world’s way. They think it is to run over people. Healthy way for leadership is to serve and to give away one’s life as a ransom those we lead. Mark 10. 41  Hearing this , the ten began to feel indignant with [ o ] James and John.

11.17-How to make disciples of you children and grandchildren.

11.17- How to make disciples of you children and grandchildren. Memories of my two grandmothers and my grandad. 12 things I learned from noticing the example of my grandparents. Momma Wishard was a widow all of my life and had lost her husband when he was only 57 so I didn’t get to know him.   She would tell stories and say fun things when I would sit near her or in her lap as she visited in our farm home. Wire, briar, limber-lock, Three geese in a flock; One flew east, one flew west, And one flew over the cuckoo's nest.   “Here is the church. Here is the steeple. Open the doors and see all the people.” Momma Woods, She wore an apron all the time it seemed to me.   She was working in the kitchen prepaing fried apple pies. Papa Woods. Sitting in a padded rocking chair in constant peace.   He would let me comb his beautiful gray hair.   On Sunday I would see them at church where we learned about Jesus Christ.   We would sing hymns of pr...
