12.23-Those who have lost loved ones at Christmas time.

12.23- I like to think of family reunions of my those who have moved to heaven. The fun we had at Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. I miss them all the time. I miss them more at this time of year.   My dad passed on this date 13 years ago.   Doesn’t seem that long.   He was known for slicing the ham and turkey at the holidays and placing an envelope in the tree that was his Christmas shopping.   In it was money for mom to get the kind of dress that she might like.   He was sure of her love for him and his love for her.   It seemed to never weaken.   One of the mothers of Newtown school shooting lost a daughter, Catherine, She also had a son who walked out of the elementary school. She was on television this morning. She said that when people had asked for a place to donate in memory of Catherine, they had pointed them to an animal shelter because Katherine loved animals. 12.22- Sexual harassment, sexual abuse, sexual assault and rape. 1.        Jesus reached to women as people with great potential for helping others to know God. 2.        Jesus protected women who were being unfairly judged. 3.        Jesus pointed out that a woman whom others looked down upon was a woman who had been forgiven and who therefore loved God much. 4.        Jesus was supported in his mission to the world by women. 5.        Jesus taught that love for God was the basis for our love for the women in our lives. 6.        Jesus taught that people who don’t properly provide the right things for their family, women and men, are living a life that is worse than unbelievers. 7.        Jesus taught that when people claim to be followers, but are worse th...
