6.24-What can we do when resisted by the evil in our world?

6.24- There are two things that the evil one cannot over come.  The blood of Jesus and the power of our story of how God has extended mercy to us.  One man was healed by Jesus and he wanted to go with Jesus, but Jesus told him to go home and tell his family how the Lord had had mercy on him. The blood of Jesus shed on the cross is powerful and so is our story of how God has helped us. Revelation 12. 11  They triumphed over him      by the blood of the Lamb      and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much      as to shrink from death. Acts 21. 37  As the soldiers were about to take Paul into the barracks, he asked the commander, “May I say something to you?” “Do you speak Greek?” he replied. 38  “Aren’t you the Egyptian who started a revolt and led four thousand terrorists out into the wilderness some time ago?” 39  Paul answered, “I am a Jew, from Tarsus ...

6.23-How are followers of Jesus different from other people?

6.23- Jesus is developing for His followers a way to live on this planet.  He had come to earth from heaven to be our Savior.  This includes saving us from the guilt of sin as well as helping us avoid the consequences of living in a sinful lifestyle. Ephesians 4. 17  So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18  They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19  Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed. 20  That, however, is not the way of life you learned 21  when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22  You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old s...

6.22-Here is how to not be troubled and afraid.

6.22- Do not be troubled and fearful if you are a child of God.  He will take care of things. God is an overwhelming power who comes to overwhelm those things that overwhelm His children. John 14. 14  “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God [ a ] ; believe also in me. 2  My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4  You know the way to the place where I am going.” 25  “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26  But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27  Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. ...

6.21-What is the bread of life?

6.21- Jesus believed in the wrath of God against evil. Jesus believed that humans are rebels. Jesus believed He was born to be the Savior of all men and women. Jesus believed He was the only begotten Son of God. Jesus believed Scripture was dependable as the bread of life. I believe these things also and it has made all the difference in my life. Matthew 4. Jesus believed in the wrath of God against evil. Jesus believed that humans are rebels. Jesus believed He was born to be the Savior of all men and women. Jesus believed He was the only begotten Son of God. Jesus believed Scripture was dependable as the bread of life. I believe these things also and it has made all the difference in my life.

6.20- Helping people to get out of toxic and unhealthy religion is a part of my work.

6.20- There is a big difference between false religion and out of date religion and pure religion. There is a push toward power and money that goes under the name of religion, but it is false, toxic and unhealthy religion.  For people to put things before the love of people and God has always been false religion.  From the golden calf of Moses's day down unto the false teacher who says on radio and television, "Send me $10 and God will make sure you get an extra $100.  Religion focused on money and power is false and destructive. There is religion that is out of date.  The Jewish religion was for the purpose of setting up Jesus Christ to be the Messiah who would come and save both the Jews and the Gentiles.  The Old Testament Scriptures are there for our encouragement, but it is an old covenant that has been fulfilled by Jesus on the cross and now we are blessed with the New Covenant. Then there is pure religion.  James describes this in this way. ...

6.19-Jesus did not come from heaven to earth to judge people, but to save them.

6.19- Jesus did not come to earth to judge people, but to save them. John 3. 16  For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 12. 47  “If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.

6.18- Post Father's Day Guidance

6.18-Reminders on the day after father's day.  I start a new year with a fresh start. I spoke to a successful father and asked him what he had found that helped with raising kids and grandkids. "Respect where they are at any given time.  Listen without forming judgments.  Be there for them to support and enjoy their lives." Colossians 3. 21  Fathers, [ c ] do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.
