9.3- I have been given a bed to go to sleep in where a window is high and laying on my back I can see

9.3- I have been given a bed to go to sleep in where a window is high and laying on my back I can see the moon at times. Flat of my back I can choose to think of the maker of the moon. A space craft from India landed there yesterday near the south pole of the moon where they think there may be water. Once the greatest human who ever lived faced his hardest days. He spoke words of steady trust and submission to his loving heavenly Father, maker of heaven and earth. "If possible may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." Matthew 26. 39  And He went a little beyond  them , and fell on His face and prayed, saying,  “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You  will .”   40  And He *came to the disciples and *found them sleeping, and He *said to Peter,  “So, you  men  could not keep watch with Me for one hour?   41  Keep watching and praying, so that...

9.2- There was this grasshopper who appeared to be very old and very wounded.

9.2- There was this grasshopper who appeared to be very old and very wounded. He drug himself along. Where he was amazed me. On the ground level at the gas station near Gordon Texas was dirt and oil and the danger of feet and tires. As I pumped 39.30 worth of fuel I wondered how did he get out of the dirt and danger to the safety of the top of the gas pump? As I get older I sometimes feel I am dragging along like a grasshopper. My spirit is fueled by seeing how my life includes my maker providing safety for me by the help of family, friends and strangers. Two such are my nephew, Lynn And Sheri Luttrell. He is a prof. at ACU and she the owner and leader of stepping Stones school. Got to spent two days of fun, 42 and homemade ice cream last week. Ecclesiastes 12. 12  Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years approach when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”;   2  before the sun and the light, the mo...

9.1- Today is our 56th anniversary.

9.1- Today is our 56th anniversary. Sheila and i had 55 good years together. We both were writers of journals. We recorded highs and lows of our family life. We grew up in families that taught us that if we loved God first, more than even spouses that we would be much better spouses. Sheila tried to see the good in me and build on that. She loved romance and romantic movies. The Way We Were, about romance in the middle of passion, money, politics and the destruction of love by selfish ambition. This fb space is for me in the last 13 years a place where I record my life. You all have joined me and supported and overlooked and forgiven and ignored. I can't thank you enough. If you are married to someone who makes every day of your life better, then you are blessed in a unique way. Happy 56th.Anniversary in heaven Sheila. Ephesians 4. 29  Let no  [ u ] unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but if  there is  any good  word  for edification  ...

9.1- Your neighbor is the next person you can help.

9.1- Your neighbor is the next person you can help. Maybe a clerk at the store. Could be your spouse who wakes up discouraged and you listen without judgement. At it might be a family member who heard they did not get the job they applied for. Your daughter struggles with body image. You are the steady source of joy and the downcast are uplifted. You have loved your neighbor as yourself. Luke 10. 30  Jesus replied and said,  “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he encountered robbers, and they stripped him and  [ q ] beat him, and went away leaving him half dead.   31  And by coincidence a priest was going down on that road, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.   32  Likewise a Levite also, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.   33  But a Samaritan who was on a journey came upon him; and when he saw him, he felt compassion,   34  and came to him and banda...

8.31- Forgiveness is the greatest healing ointment I have found.

8.31- Forgiveness is the greatest healing ointment I have found. Luke 7. 40  And Jesus responded and said to him,  “Simon, I have something to say to you.”  And he  [ y ] replied, “Say it, Teacher.”   41  “A moneylender had two debtors: the one owed five hundred  [ z ] denarii, and the other, fifty.   42  When they were unable to repay, he canceled the debts of both. So which of them will love him more?”   43  Simon answered and said, “I assume the one for whom he canceled the greater debt.” And He said to him,  “You have judged correctly.”   44  And turning toward the woman, He said to Simon,  “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.   45  You  [ aa ] gave Me no kiss; but she has not stopped kissing My feet since the time I came in.   46  You did not  [ ab ] an...

8.30- They say they have taken prayer out of school. I don't think so.

8.30- They say they have taken prayer out of school. I don't think so. When the class found out that their classmate would not return because he was killed in a shooting range accident there would be many tears and silent and quiet three teacher coffee break room prayers. I have heard in only a couple of weeks of teachers going through their own domestic abuse serviving because of "my sister's prayer team". They been retired for years but still meet weekly for prayer. If some us did have prayer us as teachers, coaches and administrators and of course students we could not suceed.. Without prayer in and out of and before and after school then it could not go as well as it does. Pray. Pray. Pray. James 4. 4  [ a ] What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you?  [ b ] Is the source not your pleasures that wage war in  [ c ] your body’s parts?   2  You lust and do not have,  so  you commit murder. And you are envious and canno...

8.29- Four of the finest men I have known have been hit hard lately by health problems.

8.29- Four of the finest men I have known have been hit hard lately by health problems. One was moved to heaven in April. Two are having pain just to move and their movement is in serving the needs of their family. One is in the hospital with big issues to be overcome. Life on this earth is so broken at times. Are you going through hard times also. I'm glad that our pledge of allegiance says, "One nation under God" It is comforting to know that He is over everything and He has plans to bless His children. James 1. 12  Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has  [ l ] been approved, he will receive the crown of life which  the Lord  has promised to those who love Him.   13  No one is to say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted  [ m ] by God”; for God cannot be tempted  [ n ] by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.   14  But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust...

8,28- Trust. People can be helped if they have trust in the one helping them.

8,28- Trust. People can be helped if they have trust in the one helping them. If there is no trust then little that is good that can be accomplished. I have an insurance agent whom I trust. He is competent and fair in all our dealings. I had some hail and needed a new roof. My roofer guy is a close friend for ten years. They worked together and all turned out well. Queen Marget said on the shoe "The Crown" the she had been told trust was the key element between her and the prime minister. If trust is lost healing and help is lost. Never break a trust relationship is how I was taught. Proverbs 22. A foolish son is a grief to his father, And bitterness to her who gave birth to him. 26  It is also not good to fine the righteous, Nor  to strike the noble for  their  uprightness. 27  One who withholds his words  [ k ] has knowledge, And one who has a cool spirit is a person of understanding. 28  Even a fool, when he keeps...
