5.28- Prayer is as important to our soul as breath is to our body.

5.28- Prayer is as important to our soul as breath is to our body. 1 Thessalonians 5. 16  Rejoice always,   17  pray continually,   18  give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

5.27- Eternity is our home. On May 20, 2013 I knew for sure that our Denver house was not our final home.

5.27- Eternity is our home. On May 20, 2013 I knew for sure that our Denver house was not our final home. On this date we bought our current house. Humans were designed with certain needs. Air. Water. Food. Fellowship. Eternity. These things are consciously and subconsciously sought after by all cultures around the world. The designer has also provided for them. You can believe you don't need these and you will still need them. Your belief about them will not change them. Let us choose to make preparations for them. "Because we are hungry for food does not prove there is no food but points to the reality that there is food." C. S. Lewis 2 Corinthians 4 13  It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” [ b ]  Since we have that same spirit of [ c ]  faith, we also believe and therefore speak,   14  because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. ...

5.26- It is refreshing to see families who take time to eat a meal

5.26- It is refreshing to see families who take time to eat a meal and share their hearts deeply. They communicate well. They forgive and move forward. They show that with God's Amazing Grace their mess is transformed into a message. Luke 15. 11  Jesus continued:  “There was a man who had two sons.   12  The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them. 13  “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living.   14  After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need.   15  So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.   16  He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything. 17  “When he came t...

5.25- I was sorry to hear that one of the most helpful and prolific authors of Christian thought died this morning.

5.25- I was sorry to hear that one of the most helpful and prolific authors of Christian thought died this morning. Tim Keller, a minister in New York has been a positive influence for many years on many of us who read Christian books. His most well knovwn quote: “We are more sinful and flawed in ourselves than we ever dared believe, yet at the very same time we are more loved and accepted in Jesus Christ than we ever dared hope.” Romans 3. 9  What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin.   10  As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; 11       there is no one who understands;      there is no one who seeks God. 12  All have turned away,      they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good,      not even one.” [ b ] 13...

5.24- "If I didn't already believe in God

5.24- "If I didn't already believe in God I would believe in Him after the way He carried me through the pain, suffering and death a of my spouse." 2 Corinthians 1. 3  Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,   4  who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.   5  For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.   6  If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer.   7  And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort. 8  We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, [ a ]  about t...

5.23- I met a new business partner yesterday.

5.23- I met a new business partner yesterday. We are working to make a smooth path for each other to succeed and enjoy our lives. Our life is like a morning dew on the grass or a morning fog. It is quickly gone. If I have 10 years or 10 months or 10 days to live I plan to partner with folks who want a smooth path for their work for the benefit of their family, friends and all mankind. On a good day I don't have any boast in my heart that I have done this perfectly in my life. I have messed up and made the road to have a pothole at times. What do have is partners that trusted that my intention was good and we tried again and made it better. Luke 3. 4  As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord,      make straight paths for him. 5  Every valley shall be filled in,      every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become stra...

5.22- 2,000 years ago it was revealed that anxiety can be eradicated by thankfulness

5.22- 2,000 years ago it was revealed that anxiety can be eradicated by thankfulness. If you feel worried or unsettled about your life, sit down and make a list of all the things you are thankful for and your spirit will be made light and anchored in hope.. Philippians 4. 4  Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!   5  Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.   6  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.   7  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
