8.18- God is in charge.   God is over nations.   Nations are under God.   God is over all.   God is omnipotent.     God shortens wars so that not everyone is killed. During times of cyclical nations coming and going there will be many false prophets trying to get followers.   Do not follow false prophets.   Pay attention to Scripture. Jesus will return in judgment on nations prior the end of the world.   Jesus will finally return to end the world as we know it and to form a new heaven and new earth. What remains when nations fall is the word of God.   What remains when buildings fall is the word of God. Trust God for guidance and words to say when you are drug into court and other places for your stand. Trust God for words.   His words remain when all else is gone. 8.16- There is much understanding of this word. Israel. There according to Jesus a focus for Israel and "spiritual Israel", God's adopted additional children. This is who spiritual Israel is.   A group of people who have two great commitments. One. Love God with all your heart. All your soul. All your mind. All your strength. Two. Love your neighbor as yourself. These are more important than religious offerings. Watch out for long robed elite, academic, religious and political power people.   Among them are many false prophets who do not care about the people or the law but about themselves. Notice those who live a simple life and walk by faith in God each day depending on God to take care of them day by day.   These are the examples to follow rather than the elite, long robe people.
