7.15-How God multiplies and blesses what we give to Him.

7.15- How God can multiply what you have and provide for you and others. Luke 6. 38  Give, and it will be given to you. They will [ w ] pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.” Matthew 14. 13  Now when Jesus heard about John , He withdrew from there in a boat to a secluded place by Himself; and when the [ g ] people heard of this , they followed Him on foot from the cities. 14  When He went [ h ] ashore, He saw a large crowd, and felt compassion for them and healed their sick. 15  When it was evening, the disciples came to Him and said, “This place is desolate and the hour is already [ i ] late; so send the crowds away, that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves.” 16  But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away; you give them something to eat!” 17  They *said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and ...

7.14-The way to be a good minister

7.14- 1 Timothy 6. 3  If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not [ d ] agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, 4  he is conceited and understands nothing; but he [ e ] has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, 5  and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that [ f ] godliness is a means of gain. 6  But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment. 7  For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either. 8  If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content. 9  But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10  For the love of money is a root of al...

7.13-Moving back to Texas after 33 years in Colorado

Moving back to Texas after 33 years in Colorado 7.13- Today at about 3pm four years ago Sheila and I moved back to Texas after being gone out of the state for a total of 33 years. Sheila and I have been married for almost 50 years and only 17 of those have been lived in Texas.  There is a special culture in Colorado that is quite different from Texas. We enjoyed the people who adopted us as their family for these years. They treated us as family and we tried to do the same. We moved to Denver in 1977 to work with a congregation of about 500 people who had quite an impact in the eastern suburb of Aurora, Colorado. There were many military people in the congregation as there were three active bases. Lowry Air Force Base, Buckley Army Base and Fitzsimmons Army Hospital were located near the building. Many were from Texas, California, Oklahoma and natives of Colorado. After our studies for the ministry in Dallas, we worked with the Casa View church in Mesquite, Texas, f...

7.12-Our relationship with God is based on His mercy and grace.

7.12- Peter accessed grace by faith. He was a denier.   He had not lived up to his promise to not deny Jesus. Jesus came to him and extended him grace and mercy and called him to feed the sheep and used him to preach the first gospel sermon.   He accessed it by faith. John 21. 15  So when they had finished breakfast, Jesus *said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you [ f ] love Me more than these?” He *said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I [ g ] love You.” He *said to him, “Tend My lambs.” 16  He *said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you [ h ] love Me?” He *said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I [ i ] love You.” He *said to him, “Shepherd My sheep.” 17  He *said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you [ j ] love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you [ k ] love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I [ l ] love You.” Jesus *said to him,...
