6.9- 100 year old hero of WWII was walking over the beach

6.9- 100 year old hero of WWII was walking over the beach at Normandy. What have you learned they asked him? "That war and killing each other is not a good answer." Luke 22 47  While He was still speaking, behold, a crowd  came , and the one called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading the way for them; and he approached Jesus to kiss Him.   48  But Jesus said to him,  “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”   49  When those who were around Him saw what was going to happen, they said, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?”   50  And one of them struck the slave of the high priest and cut off his right ear.   51  But Jesus responded and said,  “ [ o ] Stop! No more of this.”  And He touched his ear and healed him.   52  And Jesus said to the chief priests and officers of the temple and elders who had come against Him,  “Have you come out with swords and clubs as  you ...

6.8- The least We know that when well known people come into a restaurant they are quickly seated in a good place.

6.8- The least We know that when well known people come into a restaurant they are quickly seated in a good place. What happens to the poor? They may not even get in. The rich people get better medical care. They can afford good cars and speedy car repair. What happens to the least important? They walk. God was placing some people in a special positive space in heaven. They asked why? He said because had helped him when I was down and out. He said to them, "I was hungry and you fed me. I was in prison at visiting hours you were there. I was a Stranger and you made me feel welcome." They said when. He said, "when you did this stuff for the least you did it for me " The least. Matthew 25 31  “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.   32  And all the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, just as the shepherd separates the sheep from...

6.7- What leads to the healing and strength of a nation is when Godly people humble themselves and pray.

6.7- What leads to the healing and strength of a nation is when Godly people humble themselves and pray. Then they give honor to the authorities God has put in place and obey the laws of whatever nation they are in. This gives order and peace instead of chaos and disorder and war. " Thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven." Luke 20 19  The scribes and the chief priests tried to lay hands on Him that very hour, and  yet  they feared the people; for they were aware that He had spoken this parable against them.   20  And  so  they watched Him  [ g ] closely, and sent spies who pretended to be righteous, in order that they might catch Him in  some  statement, so that they  could  hand Him over to the jurisdiction and authority of the governor.   21  And  the spies  questioned Him, saying, “Teacher, we know that You speak and teach correctly, and You  [ h ] are not partial to anyon...

6.6- There is a key to life that makes it possible to turn a defeat into a victory and a bad day into a good day.

6.6- There is a key to life that makes it possible to turn a defeat into a victory and a bad day into a good day. Forgiveness. This reality, as child of God, means that we are not overwhelmed with games, lies and deceit. We can be real. We can turn around to a new direction. We receive forgiveness from those who matter most and find new joy. Deep joy. Fearless joy. We can then see each day as an adventure to get to know new people and find new ways to live with our family and friends we have known a long time. Lack of forgiveness, bitterness, revenge is a scheme set up to defeat us. Grace, mercy, peace and joy is the power to overcome all hinderances. Matthew 18 21  Then Peter came up and said to Him, “Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I  still  forgive him? Up to seven times?”   22  Jesus *said to him,  “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to  [ w ] seventy-seven times. 23  “For this reason t...

6.5- Great humans do not put other people down.

6.5- Great humans do not put other people down. They build them up with sincere words or gentle silence. Never blowing smoke. Never flattery. Always trying to improve things. Ephesians 4 25  Therefore, ridding yourselves of falsehood,  speak truth each one  of you  with his neighbor , because we are parts of one another.   26  Be angry, and  yet  do not sin ; do not let the sun go down on your anger,   27  and do not give the devil  [ t ] an opportunity.   28  The one who steals must no longer steal; but rather he must labor, producing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have  something  to share with the one who has need.   29  Let no  [ u ] unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but if  there is  any good  word  for edification  [ v ] according to the need  of the moment, say that , so that it will give grace t...

6.4- Be alert to opportunity for an important job.

6.4- Be alert to opportunity for an important job. It provides for yourself and others. Where there is an open door there will be those who oppose you. Treat no one with contempt but all with kindness and respect. Establish a zone of peace in your workspace. All work requires courage but do everything in love. While at work refresh the spirit of others. l Corinthians 16 5  But I will come to you after I go through Macedonia; for I am going through Macedonia,   6  and perhaps I will stay with you or even spend the winter, so that you may send me on my way wherever I go.   7  For I do not want to see you now  just  in passing; for I hope to remain with you for some time, if the Lord permits.   8  But I will remain in Ephesus until Pentecost;   9  for a wide door  [ c ] for effective  service  has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.

They were confident and fearless. They centered their education in God. They prayed with their family at least three times a day. They prayed for God to help the sick and depressed. They believed that God had provided for all their needs in the past and would in the future. They got into hard times where they longed to depart from their broken bodies yet remained for years after their bodies were broken to be helpful to their family and friends. They knew their example would be their primary teaching tool. Philippians 1. 21  For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.   22  [ u ] But if  I am  to live  on  in the flesh, this  will mean  fruitful labor for me; and I do not know  [ v ] which to ch...
