9.22-Jesus recruits broken people from broken families to be great teachers for Him.
9.22- We are broken. Our family is broken. Every human who is honest has failed to live up to being the best he/she could be. The word for this in Jesus' teaching is that all men and women have sinned. Some of hurt themselves and then broken their family. Anyone who has a broken heart can be helped by Jesus. This woman who had experienced several broken relationships was loved by Jesus. She was not a Jew, she was a Samaritan. Half Jew. Half Gentile, non-new. A mixed race. In Jesus' day these were not liked by either the Jews or the Gentiles but Jesus loved her.
