It will help your mental health. Good friends are people who help you to feel loved by God and by yourself.  If there is someone you name a good friend and they don't have this effect, you might need to call them something else. When God does something dramatic to help you-worship Him and be a salt and light to others regarding Him as the source of every good and perfect gift. Luke 1. 11  Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense. 12  When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and was gripped with fear. 13  But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. 14  He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, 15  for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. Luke 1. 5  In the time of Herod king of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron. 6  Both of them were righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commands and decrees blamelessly. 7  But they were childless because Elizabeth was not able to conceive, and they were both very old.

Luke 1. 1  Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled [ a ] among us, 2  just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. 3  With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, 4  so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

Mark 16. 6-7  He said, “Don’t be afraid. I know you’re looking for Jesus the Nazarene, the One they nailed on the cross. He’s been raised up; he’s here no longer. You can see for yourselves that the place is empty. Now—on your way. Tell his disciples and Peter that he is going on ahead of you to Galilee. You’ll see him there, exactly as he said.”

Mark 15. 33-34  At noon the sky became extremely dark. The darkness lasted three hours. At three o’clock, Jesus groaned out of the depths, crying loudly, “ Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? ” which means, “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?”

Mark 14. 66-67  While all this was going on, Peter was down in the courtyard. One of the Chief Priest’s servant girls came in and, seeing Peter warming himself there, looked hard at him and said, “You were with the Nazarene, Jesus.” 68  He denied it: “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He went out on the porch. A rooster crowed. 69-70  The girl spotted him and began telling the people standing around, “He’s one of them.” He denied it again. After a little while, the bystanders brought it up again. “You’ve got to be one of them. You’ve got ‘Galilean’ written all over you.” 71-72  Now Peter got really nervous and swore, “I never laid eyes on this man you’re talking about.” Just then the rooster crowed a second time. Peter remembered how Jesus had said, “Before a rooster crows twice, you’ll deny me three times.” He collapsed in tears.
