7.23- There is value in allowing only God through His Spirit in your heart to set your agenda.

7.23- There is value in allowing only God through His Spirit in your heart to set your agenda.  Sheila, my wife was good about that. She took time meditating and praying and did her thing without too much worry about what other people thought.  She didn't go with the popular thing or the big thing. She didn't go with or against what her parents did or had taught her. She set out to make our home a sanctary for herself, for me, for her children and grandchildren.  Our house was not grand central station.  It was open for people who were our neighbors and family and friends in the case of an emergency.  It was open regularly at least once a week to guest we had invited for fellowship or for learning more about how to be a disciple of Jesus. Our home had a purpose and boundaries set by Sheila's view of what God wanted.  That worked well for us. Mark 1 35  And in the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left  the house , and went away to a secluded place, and

7.22- Three of my dearest family have been picked up by Jesus and taken to heaven. Sheila. Bill Lutrell. Gene Wishard. What do people who are in their last days say to the rest of us as they finish? Our life on earth is as permanent as a shadow. When we leave earth the children of God go to our Father in heaven who is love. Rely upon truth, grace and mercy to align your heart with our Father's heart. We experience Eternal life in knowing God our Father and Jesus His son. We find our purpose in praising God with His children. Stay aligned with love and you will not regret it. Expect God to rescue you and you will not be disappointed. 1 Chronicles 29 10  So David blessed the  Lord  in the sight of all the assembly; and David said, “Blessed are You,  Lord  God of Israel our father, forever and ever.   11  Yours,  Lord , is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and on the earth; Yours is the dominion,  Lord , and Yo

7.21- This past couple of days I have heard a couple of successful businessmen describing the leaders who had been transformational for them. Visionary, caring for employees and customers, open, transparent, empowering, providing resources needed, kind-hearted and excellent at explaining things succinctly, patiently, repeatedly and thoroughly. I thought you might enjoy having this list. Paul mentioned a list to his young helper, Timothy 1 Timothy 4. 11  [ d ] Prescribe and teach these things.   12  Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but  rather  in speech, conduct, love, faith,  and  purity, show yourself an example  [ e ] of those who believe.   13  Until I come, give your attention to the  public   [ f ] reading, to exhortation,  and  teaching.   14  Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was granted to you through  words of  prophecy with the laying on of hands by the  [ g ] council of elders.   15  Take pains with these things; be  absorbed  in them,

7.20- Ten years ago at this very moment we walked into this house and our daughter in law, Donna Wishard, has set up a lovely, welcome to Texas table. There was a bottle of bubbly grape juice and some special glasses and flowers and we were loved right into our home. The AC was on and the cable was installed and everything was set up for us to have a great retirement experience living about five minutes from Jeff and Donna. Our maker has generously given His love to us in so many ways. This warm welcome was just a small part of what he had done for us Texans as we came back home. We had a desire to move to Colorado to work in ministry in 1977. We had enjoyed the climate and the lovely mountains and the great city of Denver and the Broncos and Rockets and Nuggets, the current NBA champs. But beyond all the many blessings we had also been blessed with Amy, our daughter and two grandsons, Jared and Jordan and 100’s of great friends many of whom have moved to heaven now as has Sheila.

7.19- As we move forward into our most important work we will run into opposition.

7.19- As we move forward into our most important work we will run into opposition. It is important to respond to any attacks with prayers for them and blessing them. This does not include thinking like they think. We think our desgined universe has a designer. We think human beings have great value. We think there is more to life than our fleshly desires. We think it is best to serve than be served. When challenged we reflect on scripture. "The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want.." Eventually the opposition is gone and we move forward with our work of helping, healing and loving people being aware of our need to be forgiven of our own sins as we forgive others. Matthew 4 4  Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.   2  And after He had fasted for forty days and forty nights, He  [ a ] then became hungry.   3  And the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”   4  But He answ

7.18- What do you do when the lights go out? You were going in the path of light.

7.18- What do you do when the lights go out? You were going in the path of light. You had some vision for what you were supposed to be doing each day. Then a call comes from your doctor. His tone is bad. His words are worse. The lights go out. You look at your check book. Your are 2,000 overdrawn when these checks come in. The school calls you must come up here now and get your child. He is suspended. The lights go out. What you had hoped your life would be is simply not going to happen. When the lights go out, keep walking in the same direction you were walking when you last saw the light. Keep walking with the one who was guiding you in the path of life. Keep listening to and talking to the one who 1 John 1. 5  This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.   6  If we say that we have fellowship with Him and  yet  walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth;   7  but if we walk in the Light a

7/17- I want to answer a question I received today? Have you ever had anything happen to you that you had a hard time getting over? 1946, 1956, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1974, 1977, 1978, 1980, 1983, 1998, 2001, 2007, 2013, 2022. These are years of some major highlights of my life that I don’t actually want to get over. I want to keep them in my memory bank always. There is a difference between a biography, an autobiography and a memoir. A memoir is your own memory of what happened and is by nature biased. Since 2012 I have made an attempt to have a daily post explaining what is on my mind. They purpose in my ow mind is to give the story of my life in a broken down to bite sizes. Some posts have been one sentence, others a paragraph and others a bit longer. My hope is that family and friends my read a bit and be encouraged and connect the writing with things that happen in their own lives. Yesterday, 7.9.2013 and today 7.10.23 have been written about in years past
