5.26-Love is the opposite of a self destructive way of life. 5.25-What should we do to honor our government? Romans 13. 13  Every [ a ] person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. 5.23-It is by the mercy of God that we are able to present our bodies as our gift of worship contribution. 5.21-A family lead by Jesus looks like this on a good day. Ephesians 5. 22  Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23  For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. 24  But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything. 25  Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, 26  so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27  that He might present to Himself the church [ q ] in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. 28  So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. 5.21- Enjoyed the Brief but Spectacular segment on PBS news tonight. Patti McCord’s, the former chief talent officer of Netflix, remarks about how to build a great working group made me think of how Sheila and I are hoping to help our own family grow up and be all we can be.   To begin with they don’t need to be like us to be successful.   We are a diverse family and have a different path to success for each member of our family. We make mistakes when we surround ourselves with people like ourselves.   If you want to build a group of people who are bold then we must be bold in front of them.    If we want a group, our family or other groups, to be effective with each other then we must honor them by showing up on time and being fully present.   If we want to have a great working family we must help them to learn how to learn from their mistakes.   We help people to learn how to make good decisions by admitting and sharing how we have learned from our own bad decisions.   We
