1.19-Keys to being a good people helper.

1.19- An important way to help those who have been through hard times and need support is to be on the same wave length with them.. Pace with them emotionally.  Notice their facial expressions and their demeanor and take not.  Meet them where they are then help move them to a better place with your love and encouragement.  Ask God for help in helping them. Romans 12. 15  Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16  Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but [ n ] associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.

1.18-How to relate to those who have hurt you.

1.18- Romans 12. 14  Bless those who persecute [ m ] you; bless and do not curse. 17  Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. [ o ] Respect what is right in the sight of all men. 18  If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. 19  Never take your own revenge, beloved, but [ p ] leave room for the wrath of God , for it is written, “ Vengeance is Mine , I will repay ,” says the Lord. 20  “ But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head .” 21  Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

1.17-The best way to live at peace with all people.

1.17- Regardless of your unique personality or gift type there are principles of how to live with all people effectively. Romans 12. 9  Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. 10  Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; [ j ] give preference to one another in honor; 11  not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12  rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, 13  contributing to the needs of the [ k ] saints, [ l ] practicing hospitality.

1.16-What kind of job would leave me the most fulfilled at the end of the day?

1.16-All people have different temperaments as well as personalities and backgrounds.  This is good for diversity and variety of joy.  It is important that we know what we are "cut out to do". Romans 12. 4  For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, 5  so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6  Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly :  if prophecy, (boldly speaking forth with courage the word of God)   [ f ] according to the proportion of his faith;   7  if [ g ] service, in his serving;(waiting on tables and other humble tasks) or he who teaches, in his teaching;   8  or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; (to challenge someone to higher goals)  he who gives, with [ h ] liberality;  he who [ i ] leads, with diligence; (or eagerness and steadiness and consistence) he who shows mercy, wi

1.15-The danger of an unrealistic self-image.

1.15- There are many dangers for the person who has an inflated, unrealistic view of himself or herself.  One is conceit and another is constantly trying to be something you are not and are not meant to be. Romans 12. 3  For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith. 4  For just as we have many members in one body and all the members

1.14-Why are followers of Jesus the few rather than the many?

1.14- Romans 12. 2  And do not be conformed to this [ c ] world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may [ d ] prove what the will of God is, that which is good and [ e ] acceptable and perfect.

1.13-What Courage Is Not

1.13-What Courage Is Not John 15. 13  Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. I remember seeing the live news feed of the after math of the crash of Air Florida Flight 90 on this date in 1982. A helicopter came to rescue some of the survivors from the frigid waters of the Potomac.   Over and over they lowered a rescue rope and a man kept getting the rope of rescue and handing the rope to others and help them to be saved.     I kept thinking, "I hope he survives this himself. "    When all other five survivors had been rescued the tail slipped beneath the waters taking this man down with it. Who was this man?   Arland Dean Williams Jr.   After helping others he drowned.    They named the bridge after him. In his hometown, Mattoon, Illinois, named an Elementary School after him.   What was so amazing about this story.   He attended the Citadel in South Carolina and according to a high school friend his onl

1.13-What kind of sacrifce does God want me to make for all his mercy toward me?

1.13- Romans 12. 12  Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, [ a ] acceptable to God, which is your [ b ] spiritual service of worship.
