10.22-Good news. We can live forever with God in His Joy. He has saved us. Our job is to go make disciples.

10.22- Matthew 28. 16  But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. 17  When they saw Him, they worshiped Him ; but some were doubtful. 18  And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19  [ e ] Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20  teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you [ f ] always, even to the end of the age.” Psalm 140. 140  Rescue me, O Lord , from evil men; Preserve me from violent men 2  Who devise evil things in their hearts; They continually stir up wars. 3  They sharpen their tongues as a serpent; Poison of a viper is under their lips. [ a ] Selah. 4  Keep me, O Lord , from the hands of the wicked; Preserve me from violent men Who have [ b ] purposed to [ c ] trip up my feet. 5  The proud have hidden a trap for me, and cords; They h

Short Cut to Comfort Food

Shortcut to comfort food. When you live in North Richland Hills,  Texas you are surrounded by great opportunities.   Lots of fast food and comfort food.   Many work out places and weight loss companies.   On every corner, Weight Watchers, Slim for life, Curves, 24/hour fitness nearby Red Lobster and Olive Garden.    My wife and I celebrated our forty ninth anniversary this year in several ways, but one was a trip to Red Lobster.   When you leave the North Richland Hills Centre aquatics workout and drive down highway 26 going southwest just prior to Bedford Euless road there is a short cut to Red Lobster where there is anniversary/comfort food.   Ash street.   The problem is that it appears to be a short cut, but really it’s a blind alley.   You must then you must go left on Lazy Ln. road and right on Maple street to actually get to Bedford Euless road where the Red Lobster sits. When you meditate in the desert times of your life there are several things that you migh

10.21-People must choose money or God. If they choose money it can buy their silence and lies.

10.21- Matthew 28. 11  Now while they were on their way, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all that had happened. 12  And when they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, 13  and said, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came by night and stole Him away while we were asleep.’ 14  And if this should come to the governor’s ears, we will win him over and [ d ] keep you out of trouble.” 15  And they took the money and did as they had been instructed; and this story was widely spread among the Jews, and is to this day. Psalm 139. 139  O Lord , You have searched me and known me . 2  You know [ a ] when I sit down and [ b ] when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. 3  You [ c ] scrutinize my [ d ] path and my lying down, And are intimately acquainted with all my ways. 4  [ e ] Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O Lord , You know it all. 5  You have enclosed me

10.20-Jesus is the only world leader whose tomb is empty. This is our joy not temporary leaders.

10.20- Matthew 28. 28  Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to look at the grave. 2  And behold, a severe earthquake had occurred, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it. 3  And his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. 4  The guards shook for fear of him and became like dead men. 5  The angel said to the women, “ [ a ] Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. 6  He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying. 7  Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead of you into Galilee, there you will see Him; behold, I have told you.” 8  And they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy and ran to report it to His disciples. 9  And behold, Jesus met them [ b ] and greeted them.

New Vehicle Has a Wreck

New Vehicle Has a Wreck Psalm 23 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You [ f ] have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. 6  [ g ] Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will [ h ] dwell in the house of the Lord [ i ] forever. Children of God are alert to their point of view.  The medium term outcome of an encounter with a possible enemy or opponent is someone who later will become an ally.  It is the perspective that makes a difference.  Each encounter with a human is a chance to meet someone who was created in the image of God.  To avoid a wreck happening in human relationships simply remember that God loves all His creation.  Then love others in the way God has loved you.

One Minute with Jesus for Today

One Minute with Jesus for Today God loves marriage and family and the evil one is trying to destroy these. God loves singles and the evil one is trying to discourage them. God loves children and the evil one is trying to hinder them. God loves to lead us away from temptation and the evil one is trying to lead us into temptation. God loves to deliver us from evil and the evil one is trying to keep us enslaved to evil. God loves humility and the evil one loves to destroy us with arrogance and conceit. God loves to reward loyalty with many kinds of blessings and the evil one wants us to betray our beloved family and friends. Matthew 19. 14  But Jesus said, “ [ i ] Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” 15  After laying His hands on them, He departed from there. 10.19-Jesus was born crucified. This was the plan of the universe from Him to come to earth and be on a cross.

10.19- John 12. 27  “Now My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say, ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. 28  Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came out of heaven: “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.” 29  So the crowd of people who stood by and heard it were saying that it had thundered; others were saying, “An angel has spoken to Him.” 30  Jesus answered and said, “This voice has not come for My sake, but for your sakes. 31  Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. 32  And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.” 33  But He was saying this to indicate the kind of death by which He was to die. 34  The crowd then answered Him, “We have heard out of the Law that [ l ] the Christ is to remain forever; and how can You say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’ ? Who is this Son of Man?” 35  So Jesus said to them, “For a little while longer the Ligh

Splashing Water Makes the Angels Laugh

Become Like a Child Splashing in the Water “Turned on the water sprinkler in the front yard. Jared walked into it and it took his breath away. He continued to walk in it and cry. I kept calling to him and he wouldn’t come. Just stood there and started laughing. Had to go turn it off to get him out of it. He is whistling a lot. He and Larry took a two and one half hour walk today. Jared in the stroller. They went to the library and went to the park where Larry swung him for thirty minutes and he said that Jared laughed most of the time.” Sheila's Journal, 6.7.99 “Went to the North Richland Hills Centre for one of our twice weekly aquatics walks in the lazy river, but we walked against the current for forty minutes which help us to not be lazy. It has strengthened our legs, feet and ankles in the last two years. A little child about eight months old and his mother came and entertained us in the last half of our time in the pool. He was completely trusting o
