2.29- Earthly temples can be descrated and destroyed, spiritual houses of worship cannot.

2.29- Men will destroy and mock physical places of religion when by those who win the physical battles.  Jesus took a different approach toward His enemies.  Overcome evil with Good.. Physical cities and nations that can be seen can be destroyed.  Jesus taught that the place of worship of God is in the location of Spirit and truth.  (John 4.24) Jesus taught that the kingdom of God is within you. One of the followers of Jesus, Paul, said that the temple of God is the church, God's people, and that in fact our bodies are a temple of God who be kept holy and pure and healthy. Mark 13. 14  “But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where it should not be (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 15  The one who is on the housetop must not go down, or go in to get anything out of his house; 16  and the one who is in the field must not turn back to get his coat. 17  But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who

2.28-We are the same people after death as we were before regarding our identity.

2.28- When people die there are some things that change and some that don't.  As children of God we don't die anymore.  We are still the same people as far as identity.  Larry Wishard, forgiven child of God, is my identity here and my identity over there.  Mark 12. 18  Some Sadducees (who say that there is no resurrection) *came to Jesus, and began questioning Him, saying, 19  “Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves behind a wife and leaves no child, his brother should [ i ] marry the wife and raise up children to his brother . 20  There were seven brothers; and the first took a wife, and died leaving no children. 21  The second one [ j ] married her, and died leaving behind no children; and the third likewise; 22  and so [ k ] all seven left no children. Last of all the woman died also. 23  In the resurrection, [ l ] when they rise again, which one’s wife will she be? For [ m ] all seven had married her.” 24  Jesus said to them, “Is

2.27- It angered God and it angered Jesus.

2.27- Wherever there are people their will be someone trying to take advantage of them.  Freedom of choice means there can be some awesome people, but also some awful people.  God made us free to choose.  Poor people came to the place of worship to give of themselves and their means to God and those who sold animals for sacrifice and those who traded coins for the offering were robbing the people.  It angered God and it angered Jesus. Mark 11. 15  Then they *came to Jerusalem. And He entered the temple and began to drive out those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling [ b ] doves; 16  and He would not permit anyone to carry [ c ] merchandise through the temple. 17  And He began to teach and say to them, “Is it not written, ‘ My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations ’? But you have made it a robbers ’ [ d ] den .” 18  The chief priests and the scribes heard this

2.26-there are some times when no one can understand.

2.26- It is not uncommon for us to have a good set of supports for many of the hard times of our life.  Some people do not have any good support, but most have someone they can turn to  Then there are some times when no one can understand.  We are all alone in our final suffering and death as Jesus was and He understands when no one else does. Matthew 27. 33  And when they came to a place called Golgotha, which means Place of a Skull, 34  they gave Him wine to drink mixed with gall; and after tasting it , He was unwilling to drink. 35  And when they had crucified Him, they divided up His garments among themselves by casting [ p ] lots. 36  And sitting down, they began to keep watch over Him there. 37  And above His head they put up the charge against Him [ q ] which read, “THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.” 38  At that time two robbers *were crucified with Him, one on the right and one on the left. 39  And those passing by were [ r ] hurling abuse at Him, wagging their hea

2.25- Jesus is the good shepherd. He protects the sheep.

2.25- Jesus is the good shepherd.  He protects the sheep.  He stands against the wolf of this world.  He is struck and nailed to a cross.  He knew this was going to happen and in the garden who let them know who He was so that they would leave the others alone.  When a loving shepherd is struck down the sheep scatter.  Peter thought he was stronger than he was.  Peter needed grace and mercy and a second chance and Jesus gave it to him. Matthew 26. 26  While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and [ h ] after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” 27  And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; 28  for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. 29  But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.” 30  After singing a hym

2.24-God will bring about justice either here or in eternity or both. God is Holy. God is righteous. God is just.

2.24- Jesus knew that this world would eventually come to an end and a new heaven and earth would come.  Isaiah had predicted it and so did Jesus.  There is an end to the injustice and oppression in this world.  God will bring about justice either here or in eternity or both.  God is Holy.  God is righteous.  God is just. Matthew 24. 29  “But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from [ r ] the sky, and the powers of [ s ] the heavens will be shaken. 30  And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. 31  And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His [ t ] elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other. Mark 13. 24  “But in those days, after that tribulation, the su

2.23- The one who comes in the name of the Lord will be doing good things for the people. Gathering people together.

2.23- The one who comes in the name of the Lord will be doing good things for the people. Gathering people together. Praising Jesus Christ. Weeping over the lostness of people. Matthew 23. 37  “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling. 38  Behold, your house is being left to you desolate! 39  For I say to you, from now on you will not see Me until you say, ‘ Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord !’” Mark 11. 11  As they *approached Jerusalem, at Bethphage and Bethany, near the Mount of Olives, He *sent two of His disciples, 2  and *said to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there , on which no one yet has ever sat; untie it and bring it here . 3  If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ you say, ‘The Lord has need of it’; a
