5.6-When you miss going to worship Jesus regularly with His people you lose power.

5.6- Principle #5 We believe it is important for our family to go to church regularly. We delight in listening to God’s word when the church gathers to hear it read and explained.   We love the word of God and the leaders at church who teach us the word of God by their example and their words.   We love to choose friends who also love God and His word and His people.     Those who do not know the Scriptures are missing out on the most powerful force on earth, knowing the power of God. We are happy when our family attends church regularly and we are unhappy about this when they don’t. Luke 4. 14  Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. 15  He was teaching in their synagogues, and everyone praised him. 16  He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, 17  and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was ha

5.4b-We are born for trouble and a hot mess. How can we be made healthy and ok?

5.4b Watching gravity work to make water flow downhill.  Principles of living on planet earth seen in watching 150 years of family life. We seem born for trouble at times and indeed humans are a messy mess, but God wants everyone to be saved and to turn our mess into a message. We learn and we teach Jesus' red letter teaching.  We see that we need to be careful about setting aside God's commands given through Jesus in a perfect way and time. We care about honoring and supporting our parents.  We do not allow the wickedness of this world to trap us into hardening our hearts and shrinking our souls.  Evil thoughts, pornography, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, obscenity, envy, slander, arrogance and foolish is pumped into the eyes and ears of the world, we will try to screen out the unhealthy things. We know that staying close to a Holy God and a perfect Son Jesus seems to be impossible, because we are a "hot mess".  At times we seem b

5.5-Jesus helps us to appreciate our family, but depend His Spirit for power, love and self-discipline

5.5 Principle #4 Jesus loved His mother and cared for her to the very end.   Jesus was blessed in His work by his cousin, John the Baptist.   Family is important. We deeply love our immediate family and do all we can to help them.   We work to unify and gather them together in love and never divide them with quarrels and arguments. We love our extended family.   Siblings, nephews, nieces and cousins.   These are precious people who open doors for us and we open doors for them.   We support them in every way we can as well as our immediate family.  2 Timothy 1. 1  Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, in keeping with the promise of life that is in Christ Jesus, 2  To Timothy, my dear son: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. Thanksgiving 3  I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. 4  Recalling your tears, I long to se

5.4-To protect your children demands sacrifice.

Jesus Lifestyle #3 5.4. We want to use our financial resources for important purposes like moving into places of safety and good friends and good education.   To invest in a house or farm and make sacrifices of vacations and unnecessary items is a good decision for long term freedom and security and deep joy.   It allows our family to live in places where they can thrive.   Matthew 2. 13  When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.” 14  So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, 15  where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.” [ c ] 16  When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bet
