3.24-The Ten Commandments For Positive Use of FB and other social media

3.24- The Ten Commandments For Positive Use of FB and other social media 1.       If it is not good for you to share your life with others there do not use it. 2.       Leave freedom for those who may find it useful to spread good news to their family, friends and people around the world.   Do not hate the messenger just because some of the news is bad.   From cave etchings to today’s social media there is a desire to give and receive the news of people’s lives. 3.       Keep in mind some will misuse it as they have the printed word and slick color magazine, but that doesn’t mean that the instrument cannot be used for good things. 4.       Remember that in a free society elections will have important results and any means of changing minds will be used.   The evil men and women will use these methods for bad news.   We must use them for good news. 5.       From high school students to shut ins’ in nursing homes, FB and other social media is the only connection that ca

3.24-How do you feel when you hurt someone after they have blessed you?

3.24- I was thinking this morning as I poured water into my coffee maker out of a perfectly clean coffee pot and unloaded our twice cleaned dishes out of the dishwasher about the words of Joni Tada, the famous quadriplegic artist and teacher. Someone asked her once was she looking forward to heaven where she could get rid of her wheel chair. “I’m looking forward to heaven to get rid of my sinful, wicked life.” That’s me I thought this morning as I handled these clean dishes. I w onder how Peter felt when he denied the Lord. I wonder how Paul felt when he remembered whatever he remembered that made him say that he was the worst of sinners. I know how I feel when I have a week of sinning in the midst of a beautiful springtime graces and hearing lovely music on my playlist and the best grace sermon I have heard in years by my preacher, Rick Atchley this past Sunday. 3.23-The joy of hope.

3.23- There is hardly anything better than forgiveness and a fresh start. Hebrews 9. 27  And inasmuch as it is [ y ] appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, 28  so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Hi

Our life can change so suddenly.   I got up on March 22, 2013 set to go to church and try to encourage folks there as they always had done for me for the 30 years I served there as their minister.   Things were fairly normal until about 1.30pm. About 8am we had a meeting to make some plans and pray together. About 9am we ended the meeting and some of our group began to plan for their Bible class assignments and some moved to work on some praise songs for the morning. 9.30am Anthony Bush started teaching our Bible class for the older adults. 10.30am We had a great worship of Jesus. 11.30am We had a pot luck luncheon.   Might have been a special meal to support our ladies ministry for their retreat.   I’m not exactly sure.   What I do remember was that a sister had some flowers she wanted to give us.     1.10 pmI took a couple of sets of flowers to deliver to some special neighbors.   It was snowing which is fairly common in Denver in March.   I drove up to th
