10.8-Jesus is the one we listen to. Moses was pointing to Jesus as the ultimate guide in life. Jesus gives us joy.

10.8- Luke 9. 28  Some eight days after these sayings, He took along Peter and John and James, and went up on the mountain to pray. 29  And while He was praying, the appearance of His face became different, and His clothing became white and [ p ] gleaming. 30  And behold, two men were talking with Him; and they were Moses and Elijah, 31  who, appearing in [ q ] glory, were speaking of His departure which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem. 32  Now Peter and his companions had been overcome with sleep; but when they were fully awake, they saw His glory and the two men standing with Him. 33  And as [ r ] these were leaving Him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here; let us make three [ s ] tabernacles: one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah”—not realizing what he was saying. 34  While he was saying this, a cloud [ t ] formed and began to overshadow them; and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. 35  Then a Mvoice came out of the clo

The best teaching is by example. By all means teach. When absolutely necessary use words.

Matthew 7. 15  “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16  You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17  Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18  A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19  Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20  Therefore by their fruits you will know them. I Never Knew You 21  “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22  Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23  And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Mother’s birthday was yesterday. 10.6.1913. 10.7-Jesus disciples are not called to a comfortable and convenient life. To denial and cross bearing.

10.7 Luke 9. 18  And it happened that while He was praying alone, the disciples were with Him, and He questioned them, saying, “Who do the [ k ] people say that I am?” 19  They answered and said, “John the Baptist, and others say Elijah; but others, that one of the prophets of old has risen again.” 20  And He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” And Peter answered and said, “The [ l ] Christ of God.” 21  But He [ m ] warned them and instructed them not to tell this to anyone, 22  saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed and be raised up on the third day.” 23  And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. 24  For whoever wishes to save his [ n ] life will lose it, but whoever loses his [ o ] life for My sake, he is the one who will save it. 25  For what is a man profited if he gains the whole wor

10.6-God heals us. Had it not been for God's healing where would we be?

10.6- Luke 9. 10  When the apostles returned, they gave an account to Him of all that they had done. Taking them with Him, He withdrew by Himself to a city called Bethsaida. 11  But the crowds were aware of this and followed Him; and welcoming them, He began speaking to them about the kingdom of God and curing those who had need of healing. Five Thousand Fed 12  Now the day [ e ] was ending, and the twelve came and said to Him, “Send the crowd away, that they may go into the surrounding villages and countryside and find lodging and get [ f ] something to eat; for here we are in a desolate place.” 13  But He said to them, “You give them something to eat!” And they said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless perhaps we go and buy food for all these people.” 14  (For there were about five thousand men.) And He said to His disciples, “Have them [ g ] sit down to eat in groups of about fifty each.” 15  They did so, and had them all [ h ] sit down. 16  Then

10.5-We as children of God are held in comptempt by some, but we trust God for our view of our value.

10.5- Our life is one of being willing to love so completely that we put Jesus before all things.  By putting Him first we learn how to love our family and our nation at a deeper level. Luke 9.1-9 9  And He called the twelve together, and gave them power and authority over all the demons and to heal diseases. 2  And He sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to perform healing. 3  And He said to them, “Take nothing for your journey, neither a staff, nor a [ a ] bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not even have [ b ] two tunics apiece. 4  Whatever house you enter, stay there [ c ] until you leave that city. 5  And as for those who do not receive you, as you go out from that city, shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.” 6  Departing, they began going [ d ] throughout the villages, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere. 7  Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was happening; and he was greatly perplexed, because it was said by some that Joh

10.4-The mark of a Christian is how they love other Christians. We love to be with the family.

10.4- John 13. 21  When Jesus had said this, He became troubled in spirit, and testified and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, that one of you will [ c ] betray Me.” 22  The disciples began looking at one another, at a loss to know of which one He was speaking. 23  There was reclining on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved. 24  So Simon Peter *gestured to him, and *said to him, “Tell us who it is of whom He is speaking.” 25  He, leaning back thus on Jesus’ bosom, *said to Him, “Lord, who is it?” 26  Jesus then *answered, “That is the one for whom I shall dip the morsel and give it to him.” So when He had dipped the morsel, He *took and *gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. 27  After the morsel, Satan then entered into him. Therefore Jesus *said to him, “What you do, do quickly.” 28  Now no one of those reclining at the table knew for what purpose He had said this to him. 29  For some were supposing, because Judas had the money box, that Jesus wa

10.3-People will betray us. The Lord is our helper.

10.3- John 13. 18  I do not speak of all of you. I know the ones I have chosen; but it is that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘ He who eats My bread has lifted up his heel against Me .’ 19  From now on I am telling you before it comes to pass, so that when it does occur, you may believe that I am He . 20  Truly, truly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.” Psalm 121 121  I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? 2  My help comes from the Lord , Who made heaven and earth. 3  He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. 4  Behold, He who keeps Israel Will neither slumber nor sleep. 5  The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade on your right hand. 6  The sun will not smite you by day, Nor the moon by night. 7  The Lord will [ a ] protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. 8  The Lord will [ b ] guard your going out a

10.2-Too long have we lived with those who hate peace. Let us move to love.

10.2- Deep love and service over force, violence and power. John 13.1- 13  Now before the Feast of the Passover, Jesus knowing that His hour had come that He would depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them [ a ] to the end. 2  During supper, the devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray Him, 3  Jesus , knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come forth from God and was going back to God, 4  *got up from supper, and *laid aside His garments; and taking a towel, He girded Himself. Jesus Washes the Disciples’ Feet 5  Then He *poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded. 6  So He *came to Simon Peter. He *said to Him, “Lord, do You wash my feet?” 7  Jesus answered and said to him, “What I do you do not realize now, but you will understand hereafter.” 8  Peter *
