Refreshing Our Spirits With Scripture

7.14- All of my grandparents were people of peace. Their homes were nice, clean and orderly but showed no love of money. A "favor atmosphere" has been a non-negotiable for 71 years of my home life. We were blessed to grow up in a rich nation and home from a world perspective. We learned that we must use this opportunity in a responsible way. There were moments of pain to establish years of calm. Home is a place of hyper rest not chaos. Psalm 30.5 For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.

7.13- I'm celebrating life for those teens in Thailand and their junior coach and the divers who risked their life and lived. I'm sad for the one who gave his life for them, yet proud of him. There are things more important than one's life. John 10. 11  “I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. 12  He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them . 13  He flees because he is a hired hand and is not concerned about the sheep. 14  I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, 15  even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. John 15. 12  “This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. 13  Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.  

7.12-A Prayer for our children Lord, Our children and grandchildren are precious to us, but they are not blessed as we had hoped they would be. Some of them are walking in the counsel of the wicked and standing in the path of sinners and sitting in the seat of scoffers.  We will continue to delight in You and your word. We have been driven to meditation day and night. We are firmly rooted in the stream of water which is your Holy Spirit. We enjoy the fruit of your Holy Spirit in our hearts We believe we will reap fruit when the proper season for reaping comes. We do wither in our bodies, but the leaves of our heart absorbing your love do not wither. We enjoy soul prosperity and pray and desire it for our children and grandchildren. We know the way home to you O God is Jesus, Your Son  Please keep us on the path with you and let us not be drawn away by other loves. In Jesus name Amen.     Larry Wishard  7.9.18 Psalm 1. 7.12 Our family is lead by God, the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.   He taught that our way of life involves standing against that which is harmful.   On a good day, we don’t fear men because over men is our Father in heaven.   We fear the damage done to our own soul by going against the ways of God.   Jesus taught His men by His example to drive evil out.   This requires deep love and courage.   We must see beyond the short term comfort of enabling our children, grandchildren and close friends and those we seek to help.   We must set up standards and order that is healthy.   When someone wants to be with us who have their mind on death instead of life and lies instead of truth they must be told the truth.   Get away from us!   This isn’t done with arrogance and self-righteousness, but with a weeping heart and humility. Matthew 10. 10  Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and Matthew 16. 21
