12.28- Merry Christmas.

12.28- Merry Christmas. When Jesus came from heaven to earth He could have come into any kind of situation. It didn’t have to be a manger for the first bed as the sign of the Savior. This would communicate God’s love for those who are common, ordinary people. That "no room at the inn" comment fits any of us who have felt turned down for something we thought we needed. Jesus came to help all of us “no room” people. Whether you were hearing that from people at school that you didn’t fit in with the popular crowd. You might be turned down for a job. Maybe a friendship didn’t develop. There was “no room”. Jesus is your Savior. Merry Christmas. Luke 2. 41  Now His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover. 42  And when He became twelve, they went up there according to the custom of the Feast; 43  and as they were returning, after spending the full number of days, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. But His parents were

12.28- We have not finished our work.

12.28- We have not finished our work. Revelation 3  “To the angel of the church in Sardis write: He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars, says this: ‘I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, [ a ] but you are dead. 2  Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God. 3  So remember [ b ] what you have received and heard; and keep it , and repent. Therefore if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you. 4  But you have a few [ c ] people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5  He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. 6  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churche

12.27-We remain with Jesus while saying we too join Peter in saying, “Lord to whom shall we go?” You have the words of Eternal life.”

12.27-We remain with Jesus while saying we too join Peter in saying, “Lord to whom shall we go?”   You have the words of Eternal life.” We see Jesus as our Savior ascending to heaven to sit on the throne next to our Father. We know the choice to walk away remains. We remain with Jesus while saying we too join Peter in saying, “Lord to whom shall we go?”   You have the words of Eternal life.”   This is not just for life when work comes easy, but also when work comes hard.   It is Eternal life when there are calm seas and storms.   I spoke to a sailor last week who said be most careful when the wind seems to be behind you.   It is then that it is easy to put up a spinnaker sail and try to go so fast that the boat is tipped over forward and goes down.   When the wind is to the front or sides it seems easier to control because there alertness is needed to keep your eyes on the goal. John 6. 66  As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew and were not walking with Him

12.26- We work. We don't retire from work.

12.26- We work.  We don't retire from work. We tremble with fear of being aligned with God’s work and will for our lives. We respect God as our Father in heaven who has our best in mind for us. God works through all of us, not just through the Kings, Princes and Popes and those in authority over us. We don’t grumble. We don’t dispute. We prove ourselves as blameless and innocent and above reproach in this crooked and perverse world. We pour ourselves out as a drink offering to help those around us. We rejoice in our work. We hope you will share your joy in your work with us as well. We run into storms in our work and our life.   We look for Jesus in the storm and to Jesus in the storm and not at the wind. We hear Him say, “Don’t be afraid.” When we have Jesus near to us then the security is in Him, not the situation.   Situations change.   Jesus does not. We work for that which endures to eternal life. Our work is to believe in Jesus sent to earth
