12.2- The Greatest Commandment

12.2- I am thankful that Jesus makes things simple for His followers.   600 Old Testament laws, Jesus has two basic commands that all the rest hang on. Love God, 100%, Heart, Mind, Soul, Strength. Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22. 34  But when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered themselves together. 35  One of them, [ n ] a lawyer, asked Him a question , testing Him, 36  “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37  And He said to him, “‘ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind .’ 38  This is the great and [ o ] foremost commandment. 39  The second is like it, ‘ You shall love your neighbor as yourself .’ 40  On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” The https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-9-kyTW8ZkZNDHQJ6FgpwQ

12.1-Jesus was against the abuse of children and so we should be as well.

12.1  Jesus was very strong against those who would use and abuse children.  Civilized nations have laws against the abuse of children.  Sex trafficing is against the law in America and in other nations with a human rights concern.  These are rooted in respect for children.  Justice must be done to protect our children. Matthew 18  At that [ a ] time the disciples came to Jesus and said, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” 2  And He called a child to Himself and set him [ b ] before them, 3  and said, “Truly I say to you, unless you [ c ] are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. 4  Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5  And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me; 6  but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it [ d ] would be better for him to have a [ e ] heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the dept

11.30-Thankful for the work of my High Priest

11.30- Thankful that I have a High Priest, Jesus, who has lived as a real, 100% human and can sympathize with my weaknesses, yet guide me to a better way.   Thankful that all of my brothers and sisters in Jesus are priests. Hebrews  2. 14  Therefore, since the children share in [ m ] flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15  and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. 16  For assuredly He does not [ n ] give help to angels, but He gives help to the [ o ] descendant of Abraham. 17  Therefore, He [ p ] had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18  For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.

11.29-God's children are surrounded and protected by Him.

11.29- Thankful that as the mountains surround Denver so I am surrounded by the protection of my God. Psalm 125 Those who trust in the Lord Are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever. 2  As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the Lord surrounds His people From this time forth and forever. 3  For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the [ a ] land of the righteous, So that the righteous will not put forth their hands to do wrong. 4  Do good, O Lord , to those who are good And to those who are upright in their hearts. 5  But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways, The Lord will lead them away with the doers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.
