2.22-God will give victory when we align with His will and His way.

2.22- Jesus is the creator of David.  He is the Lord of David.  He is the son of David.  How can this be?  Because God is able to do things that we consider impossible. When we are working under God's direction we can leave all vengeance to Him.  He knows exactly what perfect justice looks like.  He knows how to make mercy triumph over justice.  He is God Almighty. Sit and let God do the work of winning by trusting Him.  David didn't win over Goliath because he was bigger or had bigger weapons.  He won because He came in the name of God Almighty. Matthew 22. 41  Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question: 42  “What do you think about [ p ] the Christ, whose son is He?” They *said to Him, “ The son of David.” 43  He *said to them, “Then how does David [ q ] in the Spirit call Him ‘Lord,’ saying, 44  ‘ The Lord said to my Lord , “ Sit at My right hand , Until I put Your enemies beneath Your feet ”’? 45  If David then calls Him

2.21- To see yourself in others. Put yourself in their shoes.

2.21-  To see yourself in others.  Put yourself in their shoes.  How would you want to be treated.  This concept of loving others as you love yourself is the basis for the golden rule.  Treat others the way you want to be treated.  It is the basis of a good relationship for a husband with his wife.  Love her as you love your own body.  This is the answer to many ethical dilemmas that people bring to counselors. Matthew 22. 39  The second is like it, ‘ You shall love your neighbor as yourself .’ 40  On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” Luke 10. 17  The [ i ] seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” 18  And He said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. 19  Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. 20  Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, bu

2.20b-not to be mediocre, but excellent

2.20b Yesterday and today were amazing to me because of the excellence of the business workers I encountered.   A mechanic shop.   A natural food store.   A Superstore. A tire store.   Two fast food spots. A Gas station.   A pharmacy.   Eight businesses in Fort worth Texas.   All had employees who had excellent people skills and made me want to come back and do business with them.   I got the impression that their leaders had trained them not to be mediocre, but excellent in all things. Luke 7. 31  “To what then shall I compare the men of this generation, and what are they like? 32  They are like children who sit in the market place and call to one another, and they say, ‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not weep.’ not to be mediocre, but excellent Children have some good qualities by nature and some not so good.   They are trusting and dependent upon God.   Children can also be easily manipulated into following cur

2.20- Some Christians who thought because they were rich that they pleased God and Jesus said they made God so sick He wanted to projectile puke.

2.20- The number one commandment from Jesus' perspective is to love the Father in heaven with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.  This love is not a matter of words, but of the walk, the lifestyle, the calendar, the check book and expenditures.  It is not words, but deeds that show where we are on this.  Some Christians who thought because they were rich that they pleased God and Jesus said they made God so sick He wanted to projectile puke.  Matthew 22. 34  But when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered themselves together. 35  One of them, [ n ] a lawyer, asked Him a question , testing Him, 36  “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37  And He said to him, “‘ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind .’ Luke 10. 25  And a [ l ] lawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 26  And He said to him, “W

2.19-Jesus is like the cornerstone of a house.

2.19- Jesus is the son of God.  God sent His Son to the Jewish people to collect fruit from the work their were given to do.  They did not receive Him.  They rejected Him.  Because they had seen His perfect life and rejected it there was a consequence. Jesus is like the cornerstone of a house.  When the stone is aligned and the house is aligned then everything fits together. He was perfectly aligned with what His Father wanted accomplished.  They rejected Him. If you accept the stone of Jesus in your life then He will break your old life and give you a new life in Him.  His life in you. This life is going to work and treating people well.  It is going to work without being drunk and lazy and pulling your fair share of the load.  It is not abusing people at home and work, but being a person of integrity. If you resist allowing this breaking and renewal, then there will be a time when you will be completely crushed.  You will have no hope and your life will be one full of regre
