7.23- There is value in allowing only God through His Spirit in your heart to set your agenda.

 7.23-

There is value in allowing only God through His Spirit in your heart to set your agenda.  Sheila, my wife was good about that. She took time meditating and praying and did her thing without too much worry about what other people thought.

She didn't go with the popular thing or the big thing.

She didn't go with or against what her parents did or had taught her.

She set out to make our home a sanctary for herself, for me, for her children and grandchildren.  Our house was not grand central station.  It was open for people who were our neighbors and family and friends in the case of an emergency.  It was open regularly at least once a week to guest we had invited for fellowship or for learning more about how to be a disciple of Jesus.

Our home had a purpose and boundaries set by Sheila's view of what God wanted.  That worked well for us.

Mark 1

35 And in the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and prayed there for a time. 36 Simon and his companions eagerly searched for Him; 37 and they found Him and *said to Him, “Everyone is looking for You.” 38 He *said to them, “Let’s go somewhere else to the towns nearby, so that I may also [v]preach there; for this is why I came.” 39 And He went into their synagogues [w]preaching throughout Galilee, and casting out the demons.
