11.21-In God we trust. Not men.

11.21-In God we trust.  Not men.

Saw some things on television that reminded me of my history with CBS news.
Edward R Murrow smoked cigarettes and told us the truth about life as he saw it.
Walter Cronkite, “Uncle Walt”, reported on the killing of JFK which has been a bond with me.
Dan Rather, reported on the Viet Nam war and his team’s view of what was news. He got into the face of Richard Nixon along with Sam Donaldson and others.

I watch a variety of newsmen and women. I think of them as humans who are weak and sinful people like myself. The charges that are made against them in the courts or in the courts of public opinion do not set my view of them, but when I hear something that makes me think they are bullies or abusers of women, I don’t want to see them on my television telling me what they think about anything. I feel the same whether it is someone in news, politics, religion or sports.

In the workplace there are bullies who use their power and position to use and abuse women. By them this considered normal by male leaders. They say, "Get over it." Jesus did not trust them and neither do I. This not a political thing. It is a moral thing.

John 2.
24 But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men, 25 and because He did not need anyone to testify concerning man, for He Himself knew what was in man.
