Proverbs 24. 16  for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again,      but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.

Luke 6. 41  “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 42  How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Luke 6. 39  He also told them this parable: “Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into a pit? 40  The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.

Luke 6. 37  “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38  Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

To: Larry Wishard and to whom it may concern From: Jesus Regarding hypocrisy. Be especially alert to hypocrisy. Impression making.  Pretending to be who you are not. Regarding living a life of fear. Do not be afraid of men who can only kill the body.  Be afraid of God who can kill the body and send you to hell.  Don't have the wrong kind of fear of God.  God is our Father in heaven who knows you as you are and yet loves you so much that He sent Me to die on the cross to save you by His mercy and grace. When you acknowledge Me as God's Son you set your heart to receive a life in heaven by grace and mercy, not by your own righteousness and works. Let the Holy Spirit guide and comfort you.  He has given you the family of God to teach and sustain you.  She has lasted for over two thousand years through all kinds of storms.  He has given you words of truth.  He will remind you of these in times of trial and testing.  Do not worry. ...

Luke 6. 27  “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28  bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29  If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. Luke 6. 24  “But woe to you who are rich,      for you have already received your comfort. 25  Woe to you who are well fed now,      for you will go hungry. Luke 6. 22-23  “Count yourself blessed every time someone cuts you down or throws you out, every time someone smears or blackens your name to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and that that person is uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—skip like a lamb, if you like!—for even though they don’t like it, I do . . . and all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company; my preachers and witnesses have always been treated like this.

Luke 6. You’re blessed when you’re ravenously hungry. Then you’re ready for the Messianic meal. You’re blessed when the tears flow freely. Joy comes with the morning.

Luke 6. 17  He went down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of his disciples was there and a great number of people from all over Judea, from Jerusalem, and from the coastal region around Tyre and Sidon, 18  who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. Those troubled by impure spirits were cured, 19  and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all. 20  Looking at his disciples, he said: “Blessed are you who are poor,      for yours is the kingdom of God.

Luke 6. 12  One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. 13  When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles: 14  Simon (whom he named Peter), his brother Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, 15  Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Simon who was called the Zealot, 16  Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.

Luke 6. 6  On another Sabbath he went into the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was shriveled. 7  The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath. 8  But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Get up and stand in front of everyone.” So he got up and stood there. 9  Then Jesus said to them, “I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?” 10  He looked around at them all, and then said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did so, and his hand was completely restored. 11  But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law were furious and began to discuss with one another what they might do to Jesus.

Luke 5. 27  After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. “Follow me,” Jesus said to him, 28  and Levi got up, left everything and followed him. 29  Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. 30  But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, “ Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” 31  Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 32  I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Acts 15. 10  Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear? 11  No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”

Romans 15. 13  May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15. 5  May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, 6  so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Luke 5. 12  While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. [ b ] When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” 13  Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.

Luke 5. 5  One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, [ a ] the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God. 2  He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. 3  He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat. 4  When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” 5  Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” 6  When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. 7  So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink. 8  When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’...

Luke 4. 42  At daybreak, Jesus went out to a solitary place. The people were looking for him and when they came to where he was, they tried to keep him from leaving them. 43  But he said, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.” 44  And he kept on preaching in the synagogues of Judea.
