9.3- People who thought we thought we could trust will disappoint us.

9.3- People who thought we thought we could trust will disappoint us. Leaders rise and fall, come and go. God’s word remains. I heard a friend of mine say yesterday, "I am no role model. If you have put me as your example in life you are aiming too low." Make Jesus your example and the one you imitate." We constantly hear of some national religious leader who has fallen down. They will be exposed for their immorality or their financial mismanagement. I don't believe we should trust our lives over to religious leaders. Trust only God and His living word, Jesus Christ.   Luke 16. 17  But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one [ o ] stroke of a letter of the Law to fail.

9.1- Our 53rd Anniversary

9.1- Our 53rd Anniversary  Sheila and I have finished 5 1/2 months of being under house arrest together during the COVID 19 Worldwide Pandemic.  We are had a great time together. The reason we have had a great time is because God has given us peace in our home.  His grace and mercy have given us peace in our hearts and our home. Life is a piece of cake when you have the health God has given us and they treatment we have received from family and friends. The verse that comes to mind is this. Ecclesiastes 4. 9  Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. 10  For if [ c ] either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not [ d ] another to lift him up. 11  Furthermore, if two lie down together they [ e ] keep warm, but how can one be warm alone ? 12  And if [ f ] one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart. ...

8.31-Get up. It's not over.

8.31-    I took this picture of my dad who was just a couple of months from finishing his work on earth. He had this determined look on his face. Sometimes he would have this look as he was getting over getting beat at dominoes. He had a broken pair of roundhouse overalls and a broken place of the skin on his head. He was determined and didn't give up during the testing times of his life. Wayne Wishard was a fighter till the end. The Christian li fe is more like a boxing match with fifteen rounds than it is like an MMA fight with five rounds. We are tested but we do not allow the tests to get us off our purposes. I have a couple of friends who told me they knew what they believed their vocation was to be so they took tests to get into that field. If they failed, they intended to keep working until they passed them because that was what they felt they were cut out to do. This is the persistence that is needed. Tests are not there to discourage ...

8.30- God loves children.

8.30- God loves children.  Human beings who don't know God can look down on children and discount them, but Jesus says, "Do not hinder the children."  "Bring them to me."   God came into this world in a very humble fashion.  He came through the body of a common maiden who was a virgin.  She lived in an place where demands were placed upon her by the government.  Jesus, Immanuel, was born and placed in a manger because there was "no room at the inn."  Many of us have no "room for children".  Then you have no room for a category of people that God especially loves and cares for. Jesus says, "If you love me.... keep my commands love children love the poor love the prisoner tend to my lambs. Larry Wishard
