1130- Get up out of bed.

 1130-

Get up out of bed.
Breakfast. Gather the eggs. Get some smoked ham from the smoke house. Maxwell house coffee.
Pray a prayer of thanksgiving. Eat.
Plant the garden.
Seeds. Burpee seeds will become fresh veggies on the table. Lettuce, tomatoes, radishes.
Draw water out of a well with tadpoles and pour it on the manure enriched soil.
Cool March Temps. demands Wood for the stove to warm the house.
Milk the cows. Plow a trench to plant the potato eyes.
Cut some trees down. Use the tractor saw to cut it up. Put in a small trailer and unload the wood near the house.
Slop the pigs. Feed the hay to the cows.
Pray. Dinner. Beets. Leftover eggs. More smoked ham and leftover fried chicken.
This is the life "off the grid". No running water. No electricity. No T.V. No phone. No washer. No dryer but sunshine and clothes line. No dishwasher.
Repairing fences. Chopping wood.
Pray. Supper. Open a jar of pickles. Open some pear preserves. Ham and wonder bread. Banana pudding.
Pet the dog. Sit in the rocking chair.
Draw up the water for the weekly bath.
The Easy life of a 77 year old farmer and his wife in North Texas.

Proverbs 6.

Go to the ant, you [b]lazy one,
Observe its ways and be wise,
Which, having no chief,
Officer, or ruler,
Prepares its food in the summer
And gathers its provision in the harvest.
How long will you lie down, you [c]lazy one?
When will you arise from your sleep?
10 “A little sleep, a little slumber,
A little folding of the hands to [d]rest,”
11 Then your poverty will come in like a [e]drifter,
And your need like [f]an armed man.
