1.9- That which appears real and solid can be very temporary.

 1.9-

That which appears real and solid can be very temporary. That which seems abstract is totally real for everyone. I watched an interview today with a fellow Texan, Mary Lou Retton, whom I have admired for her gymnastic skills and irrepressible spirit. She was healthy one day yet near death the next. She had a near death experience with pneumonia.
This not to be morbid but real. When we live our life with heaven in our heart it prepares us for a good life here and a great life there. When we ignore the reality is that this life is temporary we can see our life center completely shattered.
If we anchor our hope in heaven we can appreciate and live fully our life here but always be aware this this world is not our home we are just passing through.
That which is seen with our physical eyes is temporary. That which is seen with the eyes of the heart is eternal.

2 Corinthians 4.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer person is decaying, yet our inner person is being renewed day by day. 17 For our momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
