Attacks in Paris and WWIII?
Thoughts about the terrorist attack in Paris and the prediction by some that we approach WWIII
10 “‘Because they lead my people astray, saying, “Peace,” when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash, 11 therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents, and I will send hailstones hurtling down, and violent winds will burst forth. 12 When the wall collapses, will people not ask you, “Where is the whitewash you covered it with?”
How horrible, fantastic, incredible it is that we should be digging trenches and trying on gas-masks here because of a quarrel in a far-away country between people of whom we know nothing. It seems still more impossible that a quarrel that has already been settled in principle should be the subject of war.[121]
The murder of over 100 innocent little children at one school in Pakistan
was Islamic terrorism.
The attack on Canada’s parliament was Islamic terrorism.
The Boston bombing and Fort Hood massacre was Islamic terrorism.
The beheadings and slaughter of thousands of women and children by Islamic State is Islamic terrorism.
The attack on the coffee shop in Australia was Islamic terrorism.
The attack and murder only days ago of CARTOONISTS in Paris was very much Islamic terrorism.
Wayne Root, The Blaze,
Job 14.
29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”
26 Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. 27 Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself. 28 For the law appoints as high priests men in all their weakness; but the oath, which came after the law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever.
34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the
angel, “since I am a virgin?”
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[b] the Son of God. 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. 37 For no word from God will ever fail.”
38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.
Acts 14.
19 Then some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowd over. They stoned Paul and dragged him outside the city, thinking he was dead. 20 But after the disciples had gathered around him, he got up and went back into the city. The next day he and Barnabas left for Derbe.
How do foolish people talk in times of war and destruction?
They say “peace is here”.
They say, “things are getting better.”
They say we can fix this with money and weapons when this is really a
war of ideas. Freedom and liberty versus
war, violence and hate. Freedom of boys
and girls to go to school, versus the idea that little girls don’t need to go
to school. These are not the same
ideas. They are the opposite. Don’t be fooled. Freedom and openness is the opposite of
religious fundamentalism. Believe it.
Is it wrong to complain against God for the burden of war
through the centuries?
No. Great Bible heroes have always freely voiced their
complaints to God. I recently went to
the Grand Canyon and noticed how water erodes rock. Job said that God wore him down the same way.
Who reigns? Who is
over all? Who wins?
Jesus Christ is Lord.
He reigns. We are in the USA
convinced that this is “one nation under God.”
His kingdom will never end. Jesus
is able to save His brothers and sisters completely in heart, soul and mind and
body. At times there is war and some of
His brothers and sisters lay down their lives for others. He promises to take them home to be with Him
at that time.
Does God’s word ever fail?
No.
Do the beliefs of a nation matter?
Yes. Righteousness
exalts a nation but sin is a disgrace to any people. To down grade and oppress girls and women is
wrong. God does not bless those who
discount girls and women. Places where
there is no freedom for the education of all people are not going to blessed by
God. Religions who spread by violence
rather than love are not good religions.
Good religion is where the love and focus is on the poor and powerless
and oppressed to lift them up.
Why does bad religion attack good religion?
It is because of a bad choice of anger and violence toward
one’s fellow human being. This bad
choice is rooted in a fight for money and land and power.
What kind of God do you write about?
One who is full of love and kindness and shows it by His
provision of grace and mercy by giving His Son on the cross. One who give rain and crops from heaven for
the wicked as well as the righteous. He
is full of tender mercy.
Ezekiel 13.
13 The
word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son
of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who are now prophesying. Say
to those who prophesy out of their own imagination: ‘Hear the word of the Lord! 3 This
is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to the foolish[a] prophets who follow their own spirit and
have seen nothing! 4 Your
prophets, Israel, are like jackals among ruins. 5 You have not gone up to the
breaches in the wall to repair it for the people of Israel so that it will
stand firm in the battle on the day of the Lord.
6 Their visions are false
and their divinations a lie. Even though the Lord has not sent
them, they say, “The Lord declares,” and expect him to
fulfill their words. 7 Have
you not seen false visions and uttered lying divinations when you say, “The Lord declares,” though I have not spoken?
8 “‘Therefore this is
what the Sovereign Lord says: Because of your false
words and lying visions, I am against you, declares the Sovereign Lord. 9 My hand will be against the prophets who see false
visions and utter lying divinations. They will not
belong to the council of my people or be listed in the records of Israel, nor
will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.10 “‘Because they lead my people astray, saying, “Peace,” when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash, 11 therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents, and I will send hailstones hurtling down, and violent winds will burst forth. 12 When the wall collapses, will people not ask you, “Where is the whitewash you covered it with?”
In the beginning of WWII Hitler had decided to take over a
section of the world and some world leaders had a weak response.
Hitler's proposals met with resistance not only from the French and
Czechoslovaks, but also from some members of Chamberlain's cabinet. With no
agreement in sight, war seemed inevitable.[119]
The Prime Minister issued a press statement calling on Germany to abandon the
threat of force in exchange for British help in obtaining the concessions it
sought.[120]
On the evening of 27 September, Chamberlain addressed the nation by radio, and
after thanking those who wrote to him, stated:How horrible, fantastic, incredible it is that we should be digging trenches and trying on gas-masks here because of a quarrel in a far-away country between people of whom we know nothing. It seems still more impossible that a quarrel that has already been settled in principle should be the subject of war.[121]

18 “But as a mountain erodes
and crumbles
and as a rock is moved from its place,
19 as water wears away stones
and torrents wash away the soil,
so you destroy a person’s hope.
20 You overpower them once for all, and they are gone;
you change their countenance and send them away.
21 If their children are honored, they do not know it;
if their offspring are brought low, they do not see it.
22 They feel but the pain of their own bodies
and mourn only for themselves.”

26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s
pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be
married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was
Mary. 28 The
angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is
with you.”29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. Hebrews 7.
23 Now there have been many of those
priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office;
24 but because Jesus
lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. 25 Therefore he is able to save completely[c] those who come to God through him, because
he always lives to intercede for them.26 Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. 27 Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. but sin condemns any people.

Acts 14.
15 “Friends, why are you
doing this? We too are only human, like you. We are bringing you good news, telling
you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heavens
and the earth and the sea and everything in them. 16 In the past, he let all
nations go their own way. 17 Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He
has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons;
he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.”
18 Even with these
words, they had difficulty keeping the crowd from sacrificing to them.
76 And you, my child, will
be called a prophet of the Most High;
for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him,
77 to give his people the knowledge of salvation
through the forgiveness of their sins,
78 because of the tender mercy of our God,
by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven
79 to shine on those living in darkness
and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the path of peace.”

10 For the love of money
is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered
from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
