How my grandsons have changed my life for the better.
How my grandsons have changed my life for the better.
They want to be active and in good health and condition. I am lazy and want to sit in my recliner.
I must leave behind my old ways to get better results.

So the good news is that I can start over with a new day and a new way and new mercy and new motivation.
That is good news.
So much of my illness is rooted in my attitudes. For me to get better physically I have to get out of my recliner and move out. When I go to the health club good things happen. I meet people who want to help me get more happy and healthy. I meet people who know how to "coach me up". All of my coaches and trainers in weight lifting and weight machines have been volunteers in my life. Most were friends, but some have been complete strangers. One lady watched me working a machine and came over to show me how this execercise is supposed to be done. I changed and did it the way she said and things we better fast.
I have met new friends at the health club. I have about 25 whose names I know and who greet me and miss me when I'm gone. That is enjoyable.
I have improved my mobility. Slowly but surely I am staying active and gradually getting stronger.
Many of the work out friends I have made are big fans of Jesus. Some are just good hearted people helpers.
There are crowds that need this kind of help. Baby boomers are retiring and they need a lot of help with the physical workout area. Our country has many people who are younger who have health problems because of our bad habits that are hard to over come.
So today I am thankful for the friends I have had who helped me to get to the health club on a regular basis. This week I met a man who had lost his wife and desperately needed someone to sit and cry with him a bit as he felt her loss, but also his family was not willing to be supportive to him during this time. That was my first time to sit in hot tub and give comfort and receive encouragement but it was very fulfilling. That would not have happened if we had stayed at home in our recliners.
My grandson Jared was the first to take me to the health club. In a way I feel his presence with me now though he lives in Atlanta. He is a soccer athlete and my other grandson is a football player. Both workout and teach me the value of working out.
