The path to a great life.

1 Thessalonians 5.
12 Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. 13 Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. 14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, 
warn those who are idle and disruptive, 
encourage the disheartened, 
help the weak, 
be patient with everyone.  
15 Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
16 Rejoice always,  
17 pray continually,  
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
19 Do not quench the Spirit.  
20 Do not treat prophecies with contempt 21 but test them all; 
hold on to what is good,  
22 reject every kind of evil.

 8.31- You can find someone to tell you what you want to hear. RIt could be a palm reader. It could be an astrologer. It could be a crooked peddler of expensive vitamins. It could be a televangist who sells you a packet of water for a $10 donation. You  will not overcome the reality that it is appointed once to man to die and then comes the judgement. How we live in this life has consequences in the next life. Jesus teaches that those who are adopted into the family of God will not be condemned in the next life. 8.30- Death  The end of life on this earth seems very random at times. How is this so? Why? Once Jesus was asked about this and he said something was true of all of them.  They all needed to change.  To repent and to improve.  That is the work for all of us every day then every day we are ready for the change. Luke 13 13  Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.   2  Jesus answered,  “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way?   3  I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.   4  Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem?   5  I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”
