We have experienced the death of those we love.  We have experienced the loss of Wayne and Cora Sue Wishard, Ralph and Gladys Self, and even young family members, Gena Wishard, Miranda Self and Grant Wishard.  In all these cases we still have hope.  Jesus was raised from the dead and promised that His followers also will live after death.  We will have a great hope that we will be reunited with these beloved family members. 

John 14.

14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”

Save your political action prayers for the meeting with your win/lose political party, whether you are democrat, republican or independependent as far as I'm concerned. Preach and sing the gospel but leave moral slobbery for some group that doesn't abuse children and cover it up and practices racism as a normal thing.
