6.8-How to live a life of hedonist pleasure in God.
6.8-
Thank God for people who are poor, but give generously to
others. These know that things come
and go, but God and his children and experiences with them remain. This world wants to lead us to believe that
if we get a Rolex watch or Lincoln car we will be fulfilled. No.
Jobs pass and we move on.
The houses we live are not permanent.
In a normal life even nations come and go. Do not place too much emphasis on world as it
is now. It has been said that he who
marries the spirit of the current culture in this generation will be a widow in
the next generation.
What makes like great is a low stress life because we are at
rest in God. We know that God sees the
sparrows fall and He knows our ups and downs.
The experience of laughter with friends can be exercise just as walking
and stretching are good exercises. Going to the gym daily is good, but so is
getting together with fun friends. Going
to work is necessary, but even better than that is doing what you love as your
work. If you have an attitude of openness
and love of yourself and others there is a good chance you will get the
opportunity to do what you love and love what you do.
This life on earth is going to include some hard times and
these are educational semesters that should never be wasted.
One of the hard things is that some people will not agree
with you. Some of these will be your own
beloved family. Be yourself and never
allow anyone else to take away your freedom of choice. God has given this to all of us. We can learn from our choices. The great news is that people can change and
do things differently the next time around.
The evil one tempts us to believe that we will never die.
The truth is that we will. People come
and go. Our beloved family members are
not with us forever. Enjoy them in the
now. Enjoy your friends who are your
chosen family now.
Make up your mind not to worry. Period.
End. Stop.
Be open to wisdom from God from deep in our own heart and
soul. Love yourself. Forgive yourself. God forgives and forgets. Drop you guilt and shame and move
forward. This is a new day. God’s mercies are new every morning.
If we have adversaries who don’t see things like we do that
is okay and normal. Simply speak the
truth that God gives you and you will never have to struggle to remember what you
said.
We are not like our parents and we should not be. We have added new experiences that are
different from theirs. As our children
become independent they will have many different points of view than we
do. This is normal.
What remains is God and His word.
Be careful and alert to not allow your peace of mind to be
destroyed by too much food, drink, social media, anxiety. Be alert that these will not dissipate your
pursuit of joy, pleasure and happiness in God.
Luke 21.
34 “Be careful, or your
hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of
life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap.
