Beware of politics...

Matthew 15.
5 And the disciples came to
the other side of the sea, but they had forgotten to bring any
bread. 6 And Jesus said to them, “Watch out and beware of the [f]leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”
What is the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees?
It is the belief that the way to properly improve the world
is through religion and politics regardless of the lying that is
necessary. The Pharisees believed in the
Resurrection and life after death. The
Sadducees did not. They both tried to
mix their religion and politics to gain a victory with power and money. Jesus told his disciples to “watch out and
beware”. Why? Because religious people whether they are
from the “Left” or the “Right” will try to use improper “means” to reach
supposedly proper “ends”. The proper thing is that the "means" justify the "ends."
It is quite common to allow a variety of people types to come
to large celebration. Some will advise
to allow all elements to participate.
The extremes participate and then they become the growing element of the
party and soon take over the party and the party is ruined by this violent
extreme group. This has happened to high
school parties and college parties and the extreme and drunk and drug part of
the party ruins the party for everyone and the police must be called.
Beware of the leaven of the ……
Peter Wehner, a Republican thought leader was on one of the news
channels this morning explaining the difference between political “spin” and
George Orwell, Animal Farm, “all people are equal, but some are equaler”, political
black lies.
He is sounding an alarm right now to the Republican party.
He also wrote:
"it is fair to say that there
existed in the Republican Party repulsive elements, people who were attracted
to racial and ethnic politics and moved by resentment and intolerance rather
than a vision of the good. This group was larger than I ever imagined, and at
important moments the Republican Party either overlooked them or played to
them. Some may have been hoping to appeal to these elements while also
containing and moderating them, to sand off the rough edges, to keep them
within the coalition but not allow them to become dominant. But the opposite
happened. The party guests took over the party."
