8.11-What has happened to our country?
8.11-
Here is where our country is now. It seems that our whole city us filled and surrounded by and defending the value of immorality. Our perversity becomes our pride.
There is no justice for the weak and powerless.
Our rulers from the Priest to the President are rebels. Charged with perversity with those they are called to protect. One immoral incident after another is covered up instead of confessed and dealt with.
Everyone loves money. They will sell their soul in a moment for some immediate power. It seems that people who cannot be bought do not exist.
We care more about more money to the rich and powerful than giving money for the good of the children and the aged.
This is not new. This was going on in 700 B.C.

Isaiah
1.
21 How the faithful city has
become a harlot,
She who was full of justice!
Righteousness once lodged in her,
But now murderers.
22 Your silver has become dross,
Your drink diluted with water.
23 Your rulers are rebels
And companions of thieves;
Everyone loves a bribe
And chases after rewards.
They do not [h]defend the [i]orphan,
Nor does the widow’s plea come before them.
She who was full of justice!

But now murderers.

23 Your rulers are rebels

Nor does the widow’s plea come before them.
