9.25-President of countries do not have ultimate leadership our lives.
9.25-Jesus. King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Jesus is our ultimate leader.
Jesus Christ is the king of the Jews and King of the Gentiles.
Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of the throne of God, the Father in heaven.
John 12.
12 On the next day the large crowd who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, 13 took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began to shout, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel.” 14 Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written, 15 “Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your King is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.” 16 These things His disciples did not understand at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things to Him. 17 So the [e]people, who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to testify about Him. 18 For this reason also the [f]people went and met Him, because they heard that He had performed this [g]sign. 19 So the Pharisees said to one another, “You see that you are not doing any good; look, the world has gone after Him.”
Jesus is not an earthly king with political power. He is a spiritual king of a spiritual kingdom. When a person has Jesus as the leader of His life then that person is in the spiritual kingdom of God. We are citizens of heaven first and our local country in a secondary sense.
1 Timothy 1.
12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service, 13 even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief; 14 and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus. 15 It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. 16 Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those [l]who would believe in Him for eternal life. 17 Now to the King [m]eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory [n]forever and ever. Amen.
