9.5-Jesus is the King of Kings
9.5-
If Jesus is the Son of God as He says He was then He is
right to say the truth of this fact. Now
it caused Him trouble with the political and religious powers of His day to say
this fact. The place in the nation that
Jews had would be affected by this “King of the Jews.”
Some would accept Jesus their King instead of the earthly
king and it was cause imprisonment.
Since Jesus was the Son of God, He would be able to provide them a
rescue either in life or even in death.
Some would be forced to lose their house because of their desire to
please the Father in heaven as Jesus did.
Since there is life beyond this earth then Jesus would be the ultimate
moral teacher. But if Jesus did not rise
from the grave then He would not be a good moral teacher for He would have
taken something greater to return nothing of value.
Luke 18.
29 And He said to them, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or
brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, 30 who will not receive many times as much at this
time and in the age to come, eternal life.”
