11.25-What to do in times of testing.

11.25-What to do in times of testing.

Luke 8.
13 Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.

Life on this earth has times of testing.

On Saturday I had breakfast with a man who said his work was terrible right now because he has people who seem to be trying to get him fired. They would report him as being lazy and incompetent and when he bosses checked on this work that found it to be excellent. He works with them though they make fun of him and others who work with him on the third shift as being second class people.

He is in a time of testing.
What can you do to remain fruitful and successful during a time of testing? I was thinking this morning of how my mother and father dealt with times of testing.

Keep going knowing that life has times of testing and times of rest.
Broaden your work interests so that your work is not centered in only one place.
Never let them steal your joy. Your joy is in God. In beloved family. Loyal long term friends.
Remember where you came from and where you are going.
Do not fall away from your trust in God creating us to be productive, growth oriented and fruitful.
Look forward to your days of rest. Sundays. Holidays. Thanksgiving.
Be thankful for your co-worker, business clients and partners who look out for their own interests and others also.
