10.25- Wow! Having a Job is hard sometimes
10.25
For the last three days I have had some conversations with myself and others that are interesting to me and I hope to you who read this. These are gleaned from three days and a total of about ten people and none of them are exact conversations of any one of the people or the days.
Me: "Forever we have all been people who made the mistake of choosing to walk in a bad path because the temptation to desire fame and money."
Others: "Yes, but we are human and we want an easy path."
Me: "I understand because I am daily asking for grace and mercy for having been fearful instead of fearless."
Others: "I want to follow the Bible, but the dog of my next door neighbor barking all night is driving me so crazy that I want to have my son to shoot it."
Me: "I understand. Jesus' way is simple, just to two rules, but it is hard to deny myself and love people who make my life miserable."
Others: "I know that His yoke is easy and His burden is light, but forgiving those who insult you is hard."
Me: "Yes. I feel the same. It is not hard for us to do. It might be impossible for us to do. We may just have to admit our own weakness and allow God's strength to do the work through His Spirit in our hearts."
Others: "It is good to talk about these things. I love my family and sometimes they drive me crazy. I love my country and sometimes my own fellow citizens drive me crazy."
Me. "Yes, I understand. That's an old problem of needing to speak the truth in love to people who have a different point of view than ourselves. I too often allow my zeal for a point to ruin my own proper attitude of love and peace."

Matthew 22.
15 Then the Pharisees went and [g]plotted together how they might trap Him [h]in what He said. 16 And they *sent their disciples to Him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that You are truthful and teach the way of God in truth, and [i]defer to no one; for You are not partial to any. 17 Tell us then, what do You think? Is it [j]lawful to give a poll-tax to Caesar, or not?” 18 But Jesus perceived their [k]malice, and said, “Why are you testing Me, you hypocrites? 19 Show Me the coin used for the poll-tax.” And they brought Him a [l]denarius. 20 And He *said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” 21 They *said to Him, “Caesar’s.” Then He *said to them, “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s; and to God the things that are God’s.” 22 And hearing this, they were amazed, and leaving Him, they went away.
