2.22-God will give victory when we align with His will and His way.

2.22-
Jesus is the creator of David.  He is the Lord of David.  He is the son of David.  How can this be?  Because God is able to do things that we consider impossible.

When we are working under God's direction we can leave all vengeance to Him.  He knows exactly what perfect justice looks like.  He knows how to make mercy triumph over justice.  He is God Almighty.

Sit and let God do the work of winning by trusting Him.  David didn't win over Goliath because he was bigger or had bigger weapons.  He won because He came in the name of God Almighty.

Matthew 22.
41 Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question: 42 “What do you think about [p]the Christ, whose son is He?” They *said to Him, “The son of David.” 43 He *said to them, “Then how does David [q]in the Spirit call Him ‘Lord,’ saying,
44 The Lord said to my Lord,
Sit at My right hand,
Until I put Your enemies beneath Your feet”’?
45 If David then calls Him ‘Lord,’ how is He his son?” 46 No one was able to answer Him a word, nor did anyone dare from that day on to ask Him [r]another question.

 Mark 12.

35 And Jesus began to say, as He taught in the temple, “How is it that the scribes say that [r]the Christ is the son of David? 36 David himself said [s]in the Holy Spirit,
The Lord said to my Lord,
Sit at My right hand,
Until I put Your enemies beneath Your feet.”’
37 David himself calls Him ‘Lord’; so in what sense is He his son?” And the large crowd [t]enjoyed listening to Him.
38 In His teaching He was saying: “Beware of the scribes who like to walk around in long robes, and like respectful greetings in the market places, 39 and chief seats in the synagogues and places of honor at banquets, 40 who devour widows’ houses, and for appearance’s sake offer long prayers; these will receive greater condemnation.”

Luke 20.
27 Now there came to Him some of the Sadducees (who say that there is no resurrection), 28 and they questioned Him, saying, “Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies, having a wife, and he is childless, his brother should [n]marry the wife and raise up children to his brother. 29 Now there were seven brothers; and the first took a wife and died childless; 30 and the second 31 and the third [o]married her; and in the same way [p]all seven [q]died, leaving no children. 32 Finally the woman died also. 33 In the resurrection therefore, which one’s wife will she be? For [r]all seven [s]had married her.”
34 Jesus said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage, 35 but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; 36 for they cannot even die anymore, because they are like angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. 37 But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed, in the passage about the burning bush, where he calls the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. 38 Now He is not the God of the dead but of the living; for all live to Him.” 39 Some of the scribes answered and said, “Teacher, You have spoken well.” 40 For they did not have courage to question Him any longer about anything.
41 Then He said to them, “How is it that they say [t]the Christ is David’s son? 42 For David himself says in the book of Psalms,
The Lord said to my Lord,
Sit at My right hand,
43 Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”’
44 Therefore David calls Him ‘Lord,’ and how is He his son?”
45 And while all the people were listening, He said to the disciples, 46 “Beware of the scribes, who like to walk around in long robes, and love respectful greetings in the market places, and chief seats in the synagogues and places of honor at banquets, 47 who devour widows’ houses, and for appearance’s sake offer long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”

Psalm 110.

110 The Lord says to my Lord:
“Sit at My right hand
Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”

The Lord will stretch forth Your strong scepter from Zion, saying,
“Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”
Your people [a]will volunteer freely in the day of Your [b]power;
In [c]holy array, from the womb of the dawn,
[d]Your youth are to You as the dew.
The Lord has sworn and will not [e]change His mind,
“You are a priest forever
According to the order of Melchizedek.”
The Lord is at Your right hand;
He [f]will shatter kings in the day of His wrath.
He will judge among the nations,
He [g]will fill them with corpses,
He [h]will shatter the [i]chief men over a broad country.
He will drink from the brook by the wayside;
Therefore He will lift up His head.
