2.27- It angered God and it angered Jesus.
2.27-
Wherever there are people their will be someone trying to take advantage of them. Freedom of choice means there can be some awesome people, but also some awful people. God made us free to choose. Poor people came to the place of worship to give of themselves and their means to God and those who sold animals for sacrifice and those who traded coins for the offering were robbing the people. It angered God and it angered Jesus.
Mark 11.
15 Then they *came to Jerusalem. And He entered the temple and began to drive out those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling [b]doves; 16 and He would not permit anyone to carry [c]merchandise through the temple. 17 And He began to teach and say to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a robbers’ [d]den.” 18 The chief priests and the scribes heard this, and began seeking how to destroy Him; for they were afraid of Him, for the whole crowd was astonished at His teaching.
Luke 19.
45 Jesus entered the temple and began to drive out those who were selling, 46 saying to them, “It is written, ‘And My house shall be a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a robbers’ [u]den.”
Isaiah 56.
7 Even those I will bring to My holy mountain
And make them joyful in My house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar;
For My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”
8 The Lord [b]God, who gathers the dispersed of Israel, declares,
“Yet others I will gather to [c]them, to those already gathered.”

11 Has this house, which is called by My name, become a den of robbers in your sight? Behold, I, even I, have seen it,” declares the Lord.
