2.3-
20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Good news.
Change is possible. Big changes
of heart and soul and life. 180 degree turns.
But also regular, steady, day by day changes and
improvement are possible.
Self control is a gift from God to His Children.
Heavenly lifestyle can be brought to the people
on earth.
Mark 1.
1 The
beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
2 As it is written
in Isaiah the prophet:
“Behold, I send My messenger [a]ahead of You,
Who will prepare Your way;
3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness,
‘Make ready the way of the Lord,
Make His paths straight.’”
Who will prepare Your way;
3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness,
‘Make ready the way of the Lord,
Make His paths straight.’”
4 John
the Baptist appeared in the wilderness [b]preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness
of sins. 5 And
all the country of Judea was going out to him, and all the people of Jerusalem;
and they were being baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins.
Romans 6.
6 What shall we say
then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? 2 May it never be! How shall
we who died to sin still live in it? 3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized
into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we have been buried
with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead
through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
2 Corinthians 5.
16 Therefore from now on we recognize no
one [f]according to the flesh; even though we have
known Christ [g]according to the flesh, yet now we know Him
in this way no longer. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, [h]he is a new creature; the old things
passed away; behold, new things have come. 18 Now all these
things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us
the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the
world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and [i]He has [j]committed to us the word of reconciliation.20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
