4.4- Sometimes we try to do what is right and still things don’t go right.

4.4-

Sometimes we try to do what is right and still things don’t go right.  To be a loyal worker and helper and still things seem to not go your way.

We need to remember that it is better to suffer as a person doing what is right than to suffer as a person doing what is wrong.

Jesus was completely innocent.  He is the only sinless person that ever walked on the earth.  Even as they were putting him on trial prior to His death on the cross they could find nothing wrong with Him.  He died for us.  He died in our place.  He died as the scapegoat for the sins of the whole world and for each of us.

1 Peter 3.
17 For it is better, if [m]God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong. 18 For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the [n]spirit;

The effect of His death, once for all, the just for the unjust for the purpose of bringing us before a holy God.  Without His blood cleansing our conscience from sin we would not be pure and holy and thus could not be brought into the presence of God.  With the blood of Jesus washing away all our sin we are able to be brought into the room with God.

Hebrews
14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. 16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
