My country is a work in progress. I am a salt and a light for it to improve constantly.
Because Paul was a citizen of Rome there were some things they could not do to him.
Acts 22.
25 But when they stretched him out [k]with thongs, Paul said to the centurion who was standing by, “Is it [l]lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman and uncondemned?” 26 When the centurion heard this, he went to the [m]commander and told him, saying, “What are you about to do? For this man is a Roman.” 27 The [n]commander came and said to him, “Tell me, are you a Roman?” And he said, “Yes.” 28 The [o]commander answered, “I acquired this citizenship with a large sum of money.” And Paul said, “But I was actually born a citizen.” 29 Therefore those who were about to examine him immediately [p]let go of him; and the [q]commander also was afraid when he found out that he was a Roman, and because he had [r]put him in chains.
Acts 23.
27 “When this man was arrested by the Jews and was about to be slain by them, I came up to them with the troops and rescued him, having learned that he was a Roman. 28 “And wanting to ascertain the charge for which they were accusing him, I brought him down to their [s]Council; 29 and I found him to be accused over questions about their Law, but [t]under no accusation deserving death or [u]imprisonment.

The leaders
Seek to share burdens of those they lead.
Seek service ops instead of photo ops.
Seek humility instead of self-exaltation.
Open doors of opportunity for expansion of worship.
Support the needs of widows.
Tell the same thing whether under oath or not. The truth.
Work hard every day at justice, mercy and faithfulness instead of fundraising.
Are the same in public and in private.
Work to bring people together rather than divide people.
