Religious leaders they world over cannot be trusted to be followed.  Many of them are doing things every day as a part of their job that is detestable to God.  You must search the scriptures for yourself.  Do not follow men’s traditions.  Follow Jesus Christ.  The living word of God.

Luke 16.

14 Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things and were scoffing at Him. 15 And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves [l]in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable [m]in the sight of God.

Save your political action prayers for the meeting with your win/lose political party, whether you are democrat, republican or independependent as far as I'm concerned. Preach and sing the gospel but leave moral slobbery for some group that doesn't abuse children and cover it up and practices racism as a normal thing.
