 2.22-

As you admire beautiful things keep in mind that they are temporary.  They are not a secure source of anchoring your soul.  That is a function of God and His promises.  Things come and go.  There is nothing wrong with enjoying the beauty or comfort of your home, but hold it loosely.  This is the teaching of Jesus.

Mark 13.

13 As He was going out of the temple, one of His disciples *said to Him, “Teacher, behold [a]what wonderful stones and [b]what wonderful buildings!” 2 And Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left upon another which will not be torn down.”

Save your political action prayers for the meeting with your win/lose political party, whether you are democrat, republican or independependent as far as I'm concerned. Preach and sing the gospel but leave moral slobbery for some group that doesn't abuse children and cover it up and practices racism as a normal thing.
