8.18-Putting new things into my own body when needed. Transplants and other important science thoughts.

8.18-Transplants and other science with important additions to my body.

When my body is dead I’m not sure if there is anything that can be worth anything passed on. Eyes, liver, kidney, heart, flesh, skin, bones or whatever can be used. I have a donor listing on my DL for that reason. That became very important once I realized how important this can be. I want things given to others that can help them. I want to receive into my body what can help me. Thank God for modern science.

I have a couple of extended family members who have needed transplants. 17 years ago today, 8.18.04, we experienced the blessing of a successful transplant in our family.

We have been in the waiting room where some good news was received and others who did not get good news about their beloved relatives.

There is one transplant that is available for all. God has set it up so that the perfect, pure soul of Jesus Christ was taken from Him and implanted into those of us who have become believers in Jesus. We have the mind of Jesus available to be transported into our minds and we surrender our foolish mind to be taken away by God’s grace and mercy.

The Old Testament prophets spoke of this in a variety of ways. It is very encouraging to see the hope God gives His children in their hard times.

Ezekiel 36.

26 Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

On the cross Jesus said, “It is finished.” All through the New Testament Jesus is referred to as the Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world. He did this by trading His perfect, sinless life given to all of us sinners who needed a transplant. He received our dead, sinful heart and gave us His perfect, pure and holy heart.

John 19

30 Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.

The transaction was done. The perfect human life and the ultimate human life of flesh and blood had been given to extend mercy to all mankind. All people. All nations. All ethnic groups. All races. One body in Jesus Christ.

Matthew 27.

45 Now from the [aa]sixth hour darkness [ab]fell upon all the land until the [ac]ninth hour. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “ELI, ELI, LEMA SABAKTANEI?” that is, “MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?”

Paul wrote that this is the heart of the good news of Jesus.

1 Corinthians 15.

15 Now I make known to you, brothers and sisters, the gospel which I preached to you, which you also received, in which you also stand, 2 by which you also are saved, if you hold firmly to [a]the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.

3 For I handed down to you [b]as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He appeared to [c]Cephas, then to the twelve.

2 Corinthians 5.

13 For if we have lost our minds, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you. 14 For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; 15 and He died for all, so that those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose on their behalf.

Now the hate and killing between nations can stop. We can pray a blessing over our enemies. We can teach the good news and pray for Jesus’ mind to be transplanted into the minds of all people. This is how He is the prince of peace. Pray for the peace of Afghanistan and all nations. Pray for the peace among all people groups in the USA.
