8.15- Freedom. To some people it means freedom to do what they want to do

 8.15-

Freedom. To some people it means freedom to do what they want to do regardless of how it impacts others. To me that is not true freedom. Freedom could also be seen as the ability to serve others before myself. Many teachers, coaches, nurses, doctors, firemen, policemen, EMTs and soldiers have taken an oath to protect and serve even at the cost of their own lives. They have used their freedom to lay their life on the line for a larger cause. One of is bound by their habits to follow their own selfish instincts are not truly free, but in fact enslaved to themselves. This is a temptation in my life to have a joyless life because I have reversed the order of true joy. Being a Christian I have been blessed by little slogan reminders.

I think it was my English teacher, Mrs. Hembree who had me memorize a poem.
"Stone walls do not a prison make
nor iron bars a cage."

You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.
